: Something Wicked This Way Comes [Hunter The Vigil 3+ Players]
: infinitejesting May 15, 2011, 02:52:09 PM
Game Title: Something Wicked This Way Comes
System: Hunter: The Vigil
Players Wanted: 3 or more, up to 6 total.  But if 3 people are good to go, I'll start
Posting Rate: Couple times per week, depending on how often people can post
Special Rules: Very rules-light, focusing much more on atmosphere and character than hard and fast rules. Oh, also, NO TACTICS, because I really don't like those HtV rules.
Advancement Rules: Standard HtV advancement

OK, so here's what I'm thinking.  This will be a totally first-tier game (no compacts) with characters at fairly low-power.  (All the better to scare you! BWAHAHA!) It'll be set in DC, and I'll talk more about setting and plot after some people sign up.  So...anyone interested?

Oh awesome, as soon as I get two other people, I'll give everyone the character creation guidelines!

Haha, I'd absolutely love to still run this game, though I do need three people.

So, I was wondering if you still wanted to host this game. I would like to try. I have never played Hunter before and I don't have a a ton of gaming experience (i do live with someone who does and could help me).

Cool! I'd still love to host this game, I'll start to assemble everything once I get confirmations from everyone that they still want to play.  It'll be a street level game, if that's ok with everyone.

Count me in, but I have to ask a silly question. What does "street level" mean?

Not a silly question at all. "Street Level" means that everyone is in a cell or compact rather than a conspiracy. i.e. nobody gets weird powers or technology, and the action and focus are relatively local.

Haha, it's totally fine.  Cool ideas and characters are much more important than rules.  Anything in particular you'd like from the campaign? I'd love to tailor it to what people want to play.

(Oh, and if everyone's soured on Hunter: The Vigil, I've got a really interesting All Flesh Must Be Eaten Campaign I've been itching to run.)

Well, since I have never played Hunter, I would like to see a variety of what the game has to offer.

And I am up for any game you would like to run.

Cool.  I'm going to see if there's still some interest in the Hunter game, and if there's not, I'll try and get an All Flesh Must Be Eaten campaign up and running.  (It's like Firefly meets the story of Moses meets zombies.  Trust me, it's cool)
