So im going threw my banquet tickets today at my hotel and we have a group in house called the Carlyle Group. They ordered 2 sodas, a coffee station and a projector... sounds like they are just starting out lol. Just thought it was funny.

Long time since ive stoped in to say hi.

Not sure what they are, I assume its a group of lawyer's or something lol. It was just a great name to stumble accross lol.

I'm an ex-hotel worker, I've heard of these guys. They'd come to our hotel in Oklahoma about twice a year. Keep to themselves, mostly, as I recall.

Doing a little research, it makes sense that they were in Oklahoma, and especially at our hotel, as they own equity in or straight up own several oil firms including SandRidge (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-01-27/oil-slide-bites-private-equity-as-carlyle-seen-leading-decline), who has a rather large campus literally across the street from my old hotel in OKC.

It also makes sense that they were ordering light, as oil tanked and Carlyle is specific is undergoing sever losses from the loss of oil profits.
