If I remember correctly the consensual age for Japanese girls to have sex is 14 or 15. I don't know if this has changed anytime recently but it was 14 last time I checked. I know odd things. Don't ask how or why. Pretty sure this has something to do with the creepy obsessiveness of underage girls.

I don't know the only part of it that I find a bit unbelievable is the fact that it cut so cleanly. I think someone could get a blade going that fast (looking at the way he held it and moved, he is using both his arm and the weight of the blade itself to generate spin). Yeah, it's pretty impressive. The sawblade one is definitely a special effect though. The way it kicked up sawdust and "sawed" the board clean thru? Nobody could put enough spin on a sawblade to do that. I would totally believe if it had just smashed/cut through instead.

I think the tape measure one was just trying over and over again and getting lucky, with a bit of genuine skill.

When you work with the Muppeteers, they go to great lengths to keep the characters, well, pure. The "deanimated" characters are always kept in a black satin bag, and when the move is made the place the muppet on the hand of the animator, there always seems to be a little tight crowd around them so you can't really tell what's going on. It's really pretty sweet.
I've had the opportunity to work with Elmo, Kermit, Miss Piggy and Fozzie, and each time the whole crew were standing around like grinning idiots, totally rapt the entire time. It's generally understood that a Muppet day is a day totally lost to endless rehearsal, because it's such a thrill to listen to those voices talk to you and your friends.
And no, they never break character, but they do at times get a little....blue. Just a little though. The most impressive thing, to my mind, is how perfectly able they are to lock the eyes of the Muppet with the eyes of the person to whom they're speaking. It's dead on, all the time. Crazy.
And of all the shows I've worked on, the ONLY talent who the crew absolutely crowds around are the Muppets. And the day after, we all have Facebook photos up with them.
That being said, this is a total gem. And I loved zarq's story about the LIRR. I've had a few experiences like that on the LIRR, and each one is a great little memory.

I guess I thought the world was quite interestingly painted, and an interesting concept, so having the mechanics of it barely touched upon before the quick cure was found left me a little cold. It might have warranted an HBO mini-series. Didn't notice the Gattaca style camera work :D
I definitely agree with you that a little more exposition on how the virus spread and mutated through the population could have helped the overall immersion. But given the nature of the cure and the state of the vampire population at the end of the movie, that that leaves the potential for expanding the backstory in a sequel.

As a former player of EVE I can confirm that it is an engaging space society simulator. However a lot of the game play can quickly turn into a second unpaid job depending on what you do.
I can see most of the magic items and spells mentioned in this video working in Better Angels or Base Raiders. Plus, Spirit Crumpler is a great name if you ask me.

This might just be the worst car in the world—and Jason Torchinsky over at Jalopnik got to drive it.
The video is part of a series called “Jason Drives,” where Torchinsky tries to track down strange or unique vehicles to test out. For this episode, Torchinsky asked the staff of the Lane Motor Museum for lists of what they each considered the worst car ever built, and the 1951 Hoffmann received unanimous inclusion.
The Hoffmann was designed by a mysterious German guy named simply M. Hoffmann, and there isn’t a lot of information about either him or the development of the car. Torchinsky notes that though the build quality isn’t the worst, every design decision that went into making this car was “the absolute worst decision you could make.”
The Hoffmann is unusually wide, and features rear-wheel steering design that makes the car extremely unwieldy. The wheels are laid out like a backwards tricycle, two in front and one in back.
“This 6-horsepower car is more terrifying to drive than a 600-horsepower car,” says Torchinsky. It’s also deafeningly loud, and emits a ton of powerful fumes from the gas line, which actually runs on the inside of the car.
Maybe the Hoffmann was designed as an elaborate prank, or maybe Germans don’t have such a great record when it comes to auto manufacturing after all. You decide.
