General Chaos / Genuinely Scary Horror Movies
« on: January 31, 2010, 06:17:09 PM »
I was at my nieces 18th birthday party today and she tasked me to find a 'good' horror movie.
To my personal horror, I went blank.

We rolled out a few Titles-
  • The Thing
  • IT
  • The Descent
  • Hellraiser
  • The Ring

But i felt strangely empty. It wasn't enough. So I task you, oh great and horrible masses, to find me a movie that will make my niece crap her pants, roll into a ball, cry for her mother and Vote BNP!

Btw I nearly mentioned Watership down, but that's something I find terrifying and has scarred me for life... though the feeling isn't shared by others.

General Chaos / Re: What they made you, A Character Thread

During a SLA Industries round my group was tasked to go to a local school and promote SLA. Before this one of the guys was telling us about a guy who was on a kids tv show and was taking questions from the kids. When one of the kids asked 'Why are you such a wanker?' the guy flipped out, understandably.

The Group was in a similar situation and it was my turn to be asked questions. I was playing a Stormer called Trystol (Bio engineered monstrous super soldier). After answering a few I got the snotty kid asking 'Why are you such a wanker?'. Naturally Trystol was pissed off but maintains his cool.

Later after some amphetamine laced soft drinks supplied by the corporate sponsor (PLOT!!) were drunk in copious amounts by the kids, teachers and the squad things got interesting... more to the fact a pre-teen riot ensued. Riding off the random drug effects Trystol decided that he'd give the snotty kid a piece of his mind, found him and proceeded to crit an intimidation roll which caused the kid to cry and pee his pants. The group's reaction was 'He really IS a wanker!'

From then on every character I played was branded a wanker by the group because I was playing him. bastards...

Name: Dave
Animal: Dog - Mastiff
Mutation: Accidental Encounter
Education/Training: Everything is self-taught as the animal lives in the wild with no help or assistance. Character mistrusts humans and other animals.

Stats:
IQ = 15
ME = 14
MA = 12
PS = 14
PP = 11
PE = 12
PB = 11
SPD = 6

Background:
Dave was once a humble but fat mountain rescue dog until 'the incident'. What happened is still unclear to Dave but all he remembers is that it involved a Winnebago, 3 metric tonnes of irradiated twinkies, a kindly elderly couple who hated foreigners and the Aurora Borealis. When he awoke he found himself in changed. He could walk on two legs as well as four. He had thumbs. It was much harder for him to clean his crotch. After some brief 're-orientation' Dave decided that he'd had enough of civilisation since people kept screaming at him and pointing and no longer wanted to pat him on the head or give him treats so he set out into the great wilderness with nothing but the ill fitting tourists clothing and fanny packs for company...

(More may follow, i'm slightly burnt out from work)

I don't feel the need to apologize for playing my characters the way I want.

Neither do the dudes from the Ab3 rants.

And now, totally into another subject, Cheetra isn't even a furry. She's a woman who happens to share some vague cat characteristics, just like most of the Thundercats. Most of them haven't got anything more than what amounts to face makeup. Thundercats are anthro-lite.

Addition-
Rereading that I sound way to aggressive about my position. I don't want to insult anybody for thinking Cheetra is hot, I just want to make it clear that, from my point of view, that Cheetra (and most Thundercats) is(are) not really furry but rather walk a middle ground.

Totally Agree...

...I also have to mention that, yeah Cheetara Rocks

is he verry religious?

I believe he worships Cheetara

[Aaron]  To answer your question, no, I'm not religious. Though if there were an active belief system structured around attractive cat-women, I might look into it. Truth be told, that's probably more up Toms alley than mine.  As for AOM, The Silver Scarab was meant to be a fledgling hero trying to bring back the positive image of the superhero. That's how I designed and played him within the Watchmen-esque setting that Ross created. I don't feel the need to apologize for playing my characters the way I want.

YE GODS! He'll be listening to the podcast next!
