That Kicks ASS!

Though it'd be an awful lot of work, it would save so much time spend um/ah-ing over rules etc.

Yeah, I am pretty thankful for this game. Currently I'm forcing my gf to play through as a sexy elf. She likes the game enough to play for 3 hours at a time.
Completely with you there dude, I managed not long ago to get the Wife into play Left 4 Dead and Fallout 3. 5 mins into her watching me play Dragon age and the disk is out of the Drive and into her computer faster than you can say 'Pussy whipped'...

At least it meant that it was a very quiet Saturday thats for sure.
Kick ass game though!

I can definitely see it as a remedy for munchkins/powerplayers, kinda the equivalent of making someone smoke a crate of cigarettes to get them to quit smoking.

Awesome scene, Really felt for the guy. Cool to see the renowned right hook that made him a legend in action even for a short time

RPGs / Re: How much do you game per week?

Although I'd love it to be more, I game once a week on a sunday. Those sessions pretty much last from 4pm-11pm including eating and derailing chatter.

What I loved about my game of Tom's CoC was that every joke I made, Ross gave me a look as if I had really crossed the line. He was really worried about the sensibilities of the listeners and every French joke I made was met with cringes.

the French Resistance was badass and you know who else makes fun of the French in general? That's right. Bill O'Reilly. You wanna be that guy?

You who else makes fun of the French?
The English

And who bombed the English?

Germans, that's who.

Thats right!
you wanna be German?

RPGs / Re: Grimtooth's traps

God no, I think the traps are funny, but other than for comedic value, I would never ever use those. My players wouldn't take well to opening a door, all dying, then hearing me explain in details the manner in which they die from an intricate trap.

Don't worry i haven't actually used any of the fatal traps, just the debilitating or crafty annoying ones. Plus they'd have to be placed by an equally super genius level npc.
Although i did once add during one 3.5 Dnd session the party stumbling into the 'Delvermatic dicer and malingerer trap' after it had been sprung but not reset, leaving most of the party thinking there would be more traps like that on the way and searching for traps a total of 6 times in one room (a personal record) after wading through the remnants of the previous party that happened to spring it.

RPGs / Grimtooth's traps

Has anyone ever used anything from this beautifully sadistic book or even heard of it.
I've only ever been able to implement any during the odd LARP i.e. the helmet that is lined with poisoned spikes slightly shorter than the padding inside, or the foot sized pit trap with downward pointing spikes lining the walls.

Has anyone here used them in a game before?
