That's when Gary-R-NBP-1 pops out of Phillip-R-JE7-2's crate to reveal he has cleverly made it to the briefing!

Happy day Friend Computer.  I have honored your wishes!  Unlike the other Troubleshooters you have called who are surely plotting against you, those Commie bastards!

RPGs / Re: Being a GM player under a new GM

I agree with the points above. Much like any other advice, give it if asked or just keep quiet.

P.S. After the last episode I had to ask if Cody is interested in a skype game of Poisin'd. The majority of the game seems to focus on sodomizing your fellow players. Sounds like a recipe for hilarity. I'll seriously run it if there's interest.

I plan on trying to do at least one Skype game per month now, so I'll make sure I post here too.  However, I do tend to reward the folks on our forums with slots or post there first at least. HINT HINT  ;)

As for the rules, it is based on the GUMSHOE system, not the typical Call of Cthulhu or Delta Green rules.  It's the same system as Fear Itself, Esoterrorists, and Mutant City Blues.  I will give a quick rundown of the rules before the game.  It's pretty simple.  Everything is based on rolling a d6 against a set difficulty (you can spend ability points to bump your roll BEFORE).  If you make the check, you succeed.  Otherwise, bad things can happen.  Clues to the mystery are not dependent on rolls.  You get them as long as you took points in the investigative ability that applies.

I dig the system and the last game went really well.  I may run a follow-up to that game the weekend of July 4 if Tondi and Wooberman are free.

RPGs / Trail of Cthulhu Pick Up Game (Sunday, June 20)
« on: June 18, 2010, 08:24:26 PM »
I'm putting together a Skype Trail of Cthulhu game for this Sunday around 2PM EST.  I need one more player if possible and could take 2-3 conceivably.  Pregens are ready to go and it's a published scenario.  One shot focused on a group of naval officers during an atomic bomb test gone awry (1950's).  Please don't read the scenario  :)

PM me if you are interested.  It will be recorded for NerdBound, which will feature Ross' Delta Green game next week!  Let's keep the Lovecraftian horrors coming.

Go wild on mine.

Go crazy with the character you say?  Go BATSHIT CRAZY I say!

I have the book, but if you could generate a dude for me, that would be amazing.  Otherwise, I'm not sure I'll have one to you in a timely manner.  I am getting ridiculously busy with other PbP games over at NerdBound and real life games.  However, I really want to play Paranoia, especially the insane zap style antics.  I'm in if this gets going.

Sorry I meant whoever organized the donation.  Everyone in this group as far as I know contributed together.  I think it was Ristarr?  I don't know.  I have a pretty big backlog as well, but I'm pretty sure you have a LOT more.

24
I'll probably record it as well just to be safe.  It will depend on whomever actually organized this group whether I'll post it on NerdBound as well.  It's up to them and Ross.

The keeper says, "I'm sure nothing bad will happen."

The keeper says a word with more consonants than an eastern European can driver.

You get in a cab driven by Steve Jones.

The keeper asks if you brought an every day, ordinary item with you.

The keeper asks how much sanity you have left.

You play call of cthulhu.

I meant from my Arch-Militants.  I appreciate the knowledge my other players afford the party.

Yeah Hit Girl is totaly the star of the show, but most of her good seen's were all in the red-band trailer so I was disapointed there too, granted they strung them along well and I enjoyed the overall product but Just feel empty at the end.

That's a good summary of my thoughts. I felt like I should have been really stoked at the end but was just meh.

I'll take quick reflexes and good aim over "knowledge" any day.

Ok Cody, I'm gonna take that challenge and see just how long I can keep an ass rape conversation going. Because I was just trying to get odd responses. I'm going to see your conversation and raise you another disgusting conversation. This thread will never die.
