And--the one that just occurred to me last episode--SENTINELS, THE EXTREME NEW COMIC FROM ROB LIEFELD!  WITH ATTITUDE!

The transhuman future is the one of the few places where Liefeld-style bodies could actually happen.

I have always been fond of "take that" <insert interest group whom you had just offended>

Yeah!

Take that, other catchphrases!

Someone needs to start a kickstarter for Ron Perlman to do an intro voice over for Minecraft. "Mining. It never changes."

Considering how many updates Minecraft [has gone/will continue to go] through, this would essentially be paying the man to lie to us.

Let's not forget this important lesson, reiterated whenever the word "war" is mentioned...

Spoiler:
It never changes.
Flannery O'Connor references make my inner English teacher go:

I'm sinking my teeth into this newest AP and I love the fact that James has 5hd in mind.

If you don't mind discussing it hopefully without spoilers to the rest of the game...

What kind of challeges did you find in as Mr. Stolze said "Giving the kids the keys to the car"?

Also, if I can get Thad to weigh in on why he chose to go with turning his 5d in mind into 5hd, and what kind of challenges role playing wise arise when you have the power of "knowing every fact ever".

All in all I like it. James has been consistently tied with Norm for my favorite Hero so I just felt the need to ask.
The choice primarily came from the fact that he was no longer running on human hardware. Since he was basically an organic supercomputer, I wanted to reflect that in the stats. For RPing purposes, I tried to approached it by having James be (if possible) more rambling and detached than he was before. I'm not sure how noticeable the shift was externally, but that was the aim.

The people I RPed with back in "the day" day were almost all high school theater folks (as was I), so I tend to blame that for my tendency to focus heavily on characterization while often forgetting the minutia of specific systems. If I'm being honest, that's one of the reasons I've run so few games in my life; I have a terrible memory for rules and numbers.

Already getting in arguments with myself over what entries I like best.

Keep up the badassery, all.

Aww... I'm sad that I can't sign the poster.
(I assume. Unless the last episode is posted in July, which I kinda doubt.)

But I'm totally willing to send the winners congratulatory postcards from China.

I say get a green screen, put in some weird backgrounds, and do some Daily Show-esque "on location" reports from various tabletop universes.

HOLY CRAP THE SCREENWRITER OF TOY STORY 3 IS WRITING THE NEW STAR WARS SCRIPT!

(Okay... gotta stay cool. Stick with cautious optimism.)

I am cautiously optimistic about the next Star Wars.

I know this one has been kicking around the internet for a long while now, but it's still one of my favorites:

If you're not familiar with the artist this is parodying... I envy you.

Also, I know this is probably never going to happen, but:

Disney•Pixar's Star Wars: Episode VII

...

Please? :'(

John Carter pretty much proved to me that Disney can make a competent, big-budget sci-fi action adventure.
Seriously, did you see that movie? It was rad.

Unfortunately, it also proved that they have no idea how to market such a thing... and seeing Disney, of all companies, fail at marketing is just bizarre. I left John Carter wanting to buy fully-articulated Thark action figures and a big plush Woola, but such things were never even made. I mean, c'mon.

Lucasfilm, on the other hand, is great at pushing the Star Wars brand. And, when George Lucas isn't writing, they put out some fantastic stuff. Lucas has, for most of his career, been a brilliant idea man--so long as he handed those ideas over to better writers--and had a great eye for talent. Unfortunately, he began to believe the hype about himself being a creative genius, nobody would say "No" to him, and everything went to shit.

I don't know if the Disney/Lucasfilm buy will change things for the better, but at least it will change things... so improvement is at least an option. Hell, even spiraling into catastrophic destruction would be more interesting than stagnation.

My mother has a Galaxy S3, which I find to be rather hilarious. But it seems like a solid phone.

I have an EVO 4G. Sprint's coverage could'a been better back in Springfield, but it is still a helluva phone. And I rooted it, because why not? I brought it with me to China as well, though I don't use it as a phone anymore. (Had I known I would be leaving the states, I probably would have invested in a phone with a SIM card.) I use it as a mini-tablet of sorts and to hop online when there's wi-fi hotspots about.
