transformers 2 review.
« on: July 14, 2009, 03:35:34 AM »
so i have not seen the review that ross recomended in today but i am excited to check it out when i get to a pc. but seriously i dont understand why people are saying the movie is so terriable. did people hype it up so much in there mind that it ruined it for them. i heard one guy say that michal bay just raped his chiled hood. seriously were you expecting it to be what you experianced as a 8 year old boy? i honestly dont get why people think it sucks so bad. the only thing i didnt like was magen fox couldent get dirty and shilo was saved by the power of love. otherwise it was a good summer movie action flick. did people expect the move to have a ground braking plot, like the orginal transformers tv show had... oh wait there wasent much plot then either. i just dont get it. what did you guys think?

I really enjoyed the first Transformers movie, and the second one was an ok popcorn flick.

I thought "The Twins" was just dumb. Their actions took me out of the movie more than drew me in. Also, there was a ton of sexual innuendo and one f-bomb that just didn't need to be included, IMO.

On the plus side, seeing Megan Fox laying on that motorcycle and all of her slo-mo running was well worth the price of admission.

I saw it once, it was ok. I'll see it again on HBO, but I won't purchase the dvd.

It was sixty minutes of movie in two and a half hours. I watched the sucker on I-MAX because I knew I'd only really like it once before all the holes and problems caught up with me so I wanted it big.

I went to hear Peter Colins do classic dialog and see giant robots figh other giant robots. I got some of both, not enough. Dozens of needless story elements, an hour of unless footage, and no character developement (I wouldn't even say under developed characters because there was nothing).

I got what I wanted, wrapped in alot that I didn't.

I can't lie.  I liked that movie a lot.  I went in with very, very low expectations and was pleasantly pleased wiht what i saw.  I wasn't expecting to see Shindlers List or Adaptation.  This was never going to be an art film.  For what it was, it was very enjoyable.  Fast paced action, giant robots that can fly through space and are trying to eat the planet.  It was a good way to kill two and a half hours.

I think this is why I liked the movie also, I didnt have any expectations of the movie other then Robots killing each other and explotions. I didnt expect much character development, kinda like what you would expect in a bank heist movie or along the lines of that. I just feel people are giving it a bad wrap because they expected some master peace like the first time they saw starwars or something.
