I heard it/read it (can't remember specifically) in an interview with a Google exec. They were talking about the amount of heat generated and power used in their server farms. Apparently Google is a licensed power generator in the US. They determined that was the cheapest way for them to get the power they needed.

I don't think anyone really knows how many pies they have their fingers in...

what is the best class in 3.5E? Bards if you use the epic skill rules

a bard can conquer a kingdom by casting glibness, marching into a throne room and shouting, "that's not the king! I'm the real king! guards, arrest this impostor"
and the real king will actually believe it too
DC 150 Diplomacy check to turn a creature that's trying to kill you into one that's so fanatically into you they get stronger and tougher because of it.

By contrast, it's a DC 120 Balance check to walk on cloud.
