Batman: Arkham City.

For me it's a third-person puzzle game. Sometimes you have to punch dudes in between the puzzles.

Also you get to punch a shark.
I didn't come here to win. I came to make friends.

You can't just use shark repellant?

White Knight Chronicles 2. It hasn't broken my heart like the first one did yet but its come close. How do you make giant magic armored knights feel dull?

Fallout: New Vegas.  Decided to play on Hardcore mode.  Also I decided I loved the writing when I got to Nikki and Vance Casino and talked to the robot about the famous "Death Car."  What I don't love so much is the stuttering and the bugs upon bugs.  I'm willing to put up with them, though, because everything else has been pretty good so far.

I did a pure Hardcore mode run-through of my first playthrough of New Vegas. When I experienced the 'black hole' bug in the Locked Subway Tunnel near the Boomer compound, I about died laughing.

Basically before the major patch (this is on the 360 for those interested), when you tried to climb the stairs in the tunnel, you fell through the planet for a minute until you end up teleporting to the other end of the tunnel. it was so great.

also unrelated: I recently re-re-re-re-picked up Broderbund's old classic 'The Ancient Art Of War At Sea', which is an amazing naval warfare simulator focusing on the Age of Sailing Ships (so no battleships, cruisers, aircraft carriers, and submarines, for example). It features such classic naval figures as Horatio Nelson, John Paul Jones (father of the American Navy), Thor Foote, Blackbeard, and so forth. It's not the prettiest game, but it's definitely something which you need to pay attention to tactics and otherwise really plan things out.

I quite enjoy it. I also have the manual for it, which is probably over a hundred pages long, due to flavor text and art and other goodies. Quality work.

I kind of miss Sid Meier's 'Pirates!' which was also great.  It makes me want to run a 3.X (or even 2.0!) (A)D&D game focused around naval warfare and sailing.

All kinds of games on sale on Steam this weekend.  Grabbed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Collection...

Any thoughts on F.E.A.R. (namely the first two)?

First F.E.A.R and first expansion are good enjoyable horror-shooters.  The rest are crap.

I am enjoying Battlefield 3 and rocketing fully-loaded 'copters.

Fear Entirely Absent; Return (to place of purchase).

Well, actually, I'd say the first is a competent if very bland action shooter with some occasional horror-moviesque jumpscares thrown in here and there.

2 is a better action shooter, crappier horror game. Haven't played the 3rd.

While I wouldn't say that the rest are crap, Rawtooth is right in that they're not as good as the first F.E.A.R. It was creepy at times, and the shooting felt pretty good.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is awesome, I love the atmosphere and the gameplay. Just make sure to play it with mods, sinc ethey make the game 100 times better. I suggest checking out the Complete mod since it doesn't change the base game dramatically, but instead adds lots of fixes, small gameplay improvements and improved graphics.

My friends have been swept up in some kind of Dungeon Defenders madness.... I am downloading the demo now...

Anyone out there familiar with this beast?

Checking this out, since I noticed it seemed really difficult to stealth right off the bat (which seemed to be one of the "improvements" the mod makes)...

Thanks...

I've been playing the remake of Guardian Hero's on XBLA. Good times, many fond memories of my Sega Saturn. It's still a fun game, graphics did get a small boost, some of the effects like how a spell looks when fired have been upgraded, and some of the text have been changed.
You've been sucked out of the airlock into the black. Roll all the dice on the table for damage.
