Ross I am completely with you on being a GM player, having started out as a GM for about a year before I was ever a player because we started from scratch and someone had to be it, and ether they like my style or their too lazy to GM themselves ( I'm hoping the former is the case). Because of this I have your same mentality with helping the GM along and wish to move the story forward. I also agree with making "normal" characters. I have grown to hate characters who have the stereotypical orphan loner background. ( I personally think that a lot of players do this so they don’t have anyone who they have to worry about or to cause them problems)

I can't wait to hear all of the APs from gencon especially the DG games.

I just found myself a mage, vampire, werewolf group which is pretty cool as the storytellers managed to fit me and three friends in to an existing playgroup (It’s a large group with 3 GMs).

Well Tom, if only you and I could switch places. All my friends ever run is Mage and Vampire (old World of course.) If only I could get to play Cthulhu more often. *sigh*
