Saw this in a store at an upscale western style shopping mall that also sold dried seahorse and various roots and herbs. Does anyone know what this is and what it used for?

Last day in Shanghai
Sunday was our last day in Shanghai. We visited the city planning museum and the Midi music festival before we went to Pudong Airport for our flight to Dalian. The flight was delayed two hours so we got in very late but enough of that. Let’s see some pics!
