This could just be the greatest compilation ever...

Just clicking around randomly (while reading WoS, so I was already in the mindset of the insane), I found the Autognome.  I haven't looked at it much as I'm trying to finish my last few pages, but basically, it's a robot gnome that has 3 directives, protect gnomes attacked by non-gnomes, protect itself, and protect women and children...

And they went so far as to say that the lack of a specific race in the last one will cause an autognome to attack a group of elves fighting a young beholder....

Wow, that's a metric ass-load of creatures. Watch out for the giant starfish! It's slowly going to slobber on you!
It's too late to be clever. I'll try being adventurous.

Awesome: http://www.lomion.de/cmm/bacchae.php

Bacchae attack in a flurry of eye-gouging, biting, scratching, clubbing, and kicking, a whirlwind attack that does 1d10 points of damage unless the bacchae can be held at arm’s length. They never use missile weapons more complicated than a thrown rock, stick, or goblet. They are immune to all enchantment/charm spells.
