Caleb will probably get a kick out of this one because it's got weird, terrible monsters that do terrible things.

Accursed, a dark Savage Worlds setting of cursed monsters fighting for good or evil.  They're launching a Kickstarter on September 13th and they'll give out a PDF of the Player's Guide (Rules without setting fluff or art) as soon as backers pledge.  More info on FB.

In their own words:
Quote
This tale begins with  a world of dark fantasy and perilous adventure, where the forces of evil have triumphed.

In such a world, those who remain uncorrupted by wickedness must rely upon monsters to fight against the darkness. Witches have ruled the land since the last battles of conquest, but their Grand Coven has been sundered, leaving behind remnants of a once-mighty army. The remnants of the horde include captured citizens of the conquered nations that fought as the Witches’ shock troops.

These are the Accursed—the Witchmarks burned into their flesh and souls transformed these men and women into monstrous forms. Now, unable to return to their former lives, the Accursed   wander the land, giving aid to those in need in an attempt to atone for past sins. Some have joined the Order of the Penitent, an organization devoted to ridding the world of the Witches and their evil influence. Others offer their skills as warriors, alchemists, and spies to the highest bidder. Yet others have succumbed to corruption, greed, or insanity.

Light has failed, darkness is ascendant—only those bearing the forms of monsters can stand against the tide of the Witches’ evil. The Accursed are this world’s only hope—they must learn to embrace their curse or to fight against it, and find some way to free themselves forever of their Witchmark.

This is the world of Accursed.

Look at this dude!

If you are a complete Doctor Who nut, you may be familiar with Big Finish. They are a British company that produces audio dramas. Well, they just got the license to produce Pathfinder stories, and their first series is an adaptation for Rise of the Rune Lords. I'm excited to see what they do with these.

There has got to be some inspiration here for No Security: Revelations 2.

I just finished the second season of Black Mirror, that's so cool, it's like The Twilight Zone but all modern and British and full of ideas about future tech. And with pig fucking.

Also, if played straight, White Bear would be Carcosa.

It's just finished with it's first season on Crunchyroll. Though I guess I'm going to have to start reading the manga so I can catch up with everybody else.

In other news....Good News Everyone! We may have found our new headquarters!

Friend of mine went out and got Betrayal at the House on the Hill after we watched it on tabletop.

We played a total of 3 games between 9 pm and 1 am.  The game is absolutely fantastic. Each scenario played wildly different from each other.

We got blown up by The Phantom of the Opera, killed Jason with a magic dagger, and then we failed to force the others to hear the haunting melody of the Dark Fiddler.

Although I played traitor only once it is also very fun.

From my one day encounter with it I will be happy to play again.

Actually, Japan has a long tradition of written RPG AP content - they call them replays and they are basically stylized transcripts of RPG sessions. Records of Lodoss War started as a replay http://www.story-games.com/forums/discussion/comment/400852

(Technically I knew that, had the VHS and liner notes and everything. Somewhere is the sad story about how TSR didn't expand into the Japanese market because of reasons but I can't find it.)

But more importantly speaking of things on VHS and the 80's:
