This is a scan of the eeriest photograph I've ever taken. It was sort of meant to be a candid snapshot, but something about it looks staged, and I always found the weird bit of steam drifting up at center to be a little disconcerting. This was shot in the winter of 2004 in front of the freshmen dorms at JHU when two of my friends (pictured) were visiting me at school there.
And yes, the one in the background is wearing a brown paper bag over his head.
