they probably want players who 'get' Call of Cthulhu i.e. no D&D loot the bodies and cast magic spells type of mentality and at least a passing familiarity with the mythos and how to conduct a mystery game

you might try to track down who is running the game and ask them

1) Tom is Tom. Do not question.
2) Tom has a clone.
3) Maybe somebody else is running one of the events.
4) It's an Alpha List so things aren't 100% right.
5) A list always needs at least five points.

I just got an email from Tom.  It is a mistake and he is trying to correct it.  They should be a two different times.  I am still going to sign up for Bell Island and hope it is at that time period.
