Ahoy all!

I'm from the Creative Juices 7 Forum. I've been listening to a few podcasts here and there and love em!
You guys do great things for the community, including giving me something to listen to while editing.

Rock on guys.

About me, I'm a (former?) DnD player (3 + 3.5 ed), 21 years old. I used to play alot in high school, but its hard to find a group in buffalo. I used to be a heavy videogamer before the local lan center shut down and I lost my job (same event).

Lookin forward to meetin you guys.

My sympathies with the inability to find a group. Something I think most of us have to struggle with over our "currers".

Hey guys,

To re-introduce myself, my name is Jon, and I'm 41 years old. I used to play the Call of Cthulhu, DnD, Traveller, Gamma World, Marvel Superheroes, and tons of board games.

Now, I'm trying to restart my gaming via play-by-post games since a "live" gaming session just won't fit into my current lifestyle.  :(

My wife and I just had our first kid, (my son Cole just turned two months old), and to try and put a gaming session into my life right now would tork-off the old lady!!!   :)

I am the host of RPPR, Ross. There's a co-host, Tom but he doesn't get on the Internet that much.

I'm Aaron and I'm 30 and a Capricorn and a Norse Pagan. Two of those things are relevant and they're probably not the middle two.

I went through a couple of looooong dryspells with gaming. I was in a D&D3e and a Kult game in 2002, then I moved back to Albuquerque. In about 2004 got into a GURPS game with some... pretentious people and I didn't last long. The GM was a prick and many of the players weren't much better. I'd had to ask that the game be moved to Saturday nights because I'd just gotten a job that precluded gaming weeknights. Then I had a family emergency and couldn't make it one Saturday. I was told that I had to beg to be allowed back in to the game because they'd already gone so far out of their way to accommodate me. Sorry, I can apologize for the inconvenience, but I'm never going to beg to stay in ~any~ game. Then I went until 2008 before finding another local game, brought together by D&D Game Day last year. It became a regular game (which then died). I then I got incredibly lucky and got invited to a Star Wars game and I've enjoyed good luck with games since then, being in three different campaigns now.

I'm going to repay the good karma by DMing this weekend for 2009 D&D Game Day, for a 15-16 hour shift playing games on Saturday. It's going to be awesome and deathly.
A great ninja move is like great jazz. Nobody is aware of it and anyone who saw it live is now dead.

Your DMing on Game Day too? Excellent. Make sure to let me (and everybody else I suppose) know how it when on your end of the world.

Howdy

My names Kyle, 19,  live in California and am currently attending a community college.  I'm an amateur GM for a group of close friends and we have all at some point GM'd with each other for fun.  I'm trying to get better and learn what I can so I can be a better and more practical GM and make it a fun and exciting experience for my group.

Sadly my first real experience into role playing came from Rifts, which was/is a complicated system for us.  Before we realized this my friend had bought about 15 of the books and then it hit us that this system sucked.  Another friend of mine who we has recently taken interest in RP has decided he will GM a campaign from his favorite book series Wheel of Time.  As long as he enjoys it ill keep playing cause i know that we all need experience as both players, and sometimes GM when someone can't.

Ive just ordered the 3 main books for D&D 4th Ed. and i cant wait to get them.  Ive seen other groups play with D&D and its a system I can understand.  So ya, that's all I really have to say about me.  I'm always open to tips and advice about GMing

My name is Cody and I have an alcohol problem. Wait, wrong forum.

I am a frequent player/contributer to RPPR.

I have been playing since high school when my best friend and I chipped in and bought 3rd ed. D&D books together. Best $90 I have ever spent.

I should've known it was you. I should have known that there couldn't be two people who ran He-Man D&D games.

You'd think there would be more considering it is such an amazingly rich mythology.

You can't be Cody. There's not enough swearing.

I'm Jon (Jp) Nilson, i am 18 years old, am in the tail end of High School, and  live in a small town in Utah (someonesavemeplease.....wait what?)
I started RPing when i lived in the central valley of California (lived near Vicalia <zomygodbadspeller>) when i was about thirteen or fourteen. It all began with 3.5 and moved on from there to Vampire until my family moved to start a business (cheesemakerslolwhat). First ran a couple D&D games about a year after i moved here, all of which died pretty fast due to people losing interest, until about six months ago when some friends decided that they wanted me to run something for them. Since then we have gamed once or twice a week  pretty consistently, I even convinced one of my players to try his had at running a game. I run a 4ED game, a couple nWoD games, and started a CoC game based on the book Monster Hunters International last week. I basicly learned to gm by listening to Actual Plays and listening to RPPR, as well as trial an error of course :)
Welcome to dying! I don't let it out! Welcome to dying! Look to the mirror it

In all honesty, yes I am surprised. I mean, Eternia has some pretty crazy stuff and, like you said, alot of it is explained and dealt with. I wasn't a major He-Man fan but I watched the show. Really liked the Masters, they had some cool stuff.

The name's Alex from Montreal. I've been gaming for about 5-6 years. Long-time listener. I hate convoluted systems and prefer games with more roleplaying and cinematics than calculating.

To prove that I am indeed Cody, allow me (as a gesutre of goodwill) post the top 10 best porn titles from 2003-2004. I will note that these are stolen from Something Awful.

10. Young Girls in Dark Territory
9. ASM: The Art of Ass to Mouth
8. Dude Where's My Cunt? #4
7. Old and Hungry for Love
6. Let's Play Lick the Can
5. She Male Sex Pistols at the Hard Rock Café 2
4. Up and Cummers 107
3. Gang Bang Jizz Jammers (originally 1995, being released on DVD at last!)
2. Hey, Grandma is a Whore #8
1. Shit Hole Pounders

And of course, may I would also like to plug (no pun intended) my favorite porn title that I will never EVER watch.

Proof enough?
