Winsmith-R-XXY-2

Winsmith attempts to make a brilliant oration about how all the other members in the room are commie traitors, but has, for some reason, lost the ability to speak. He makes a number of garbled, spitting noises.

Gary walks to the Briefingbot and takes his papers to read.

"Hey guys, let's all read the brilliant and perfect instructions given to us by Friend Computer."

He reads the papers and tries to duck the stray laser shots and spit form Winsmith.

It's a good thing that the normally GREEN papers are dyed RED with blood or else you could have been so many body parts on the floor when Internal Security finally arrives at the briefing room. One of the IntSec goons fires a stun gun at Winsmith and the gibbering insane man is dragged out of the room.

The Instructions
Mission: Longshaft

Orders: Escort tech services technician Bob-Y-AAC-1 to Central Elevator Shaft.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: (a particularly gory body part has landed here and has obscured the text)

An extremely grumpy heavyset man suddenly arrives and the door and says, "Where are my damn troubleshooters!? You all were supposed to be here TWO DAYCYCLES AGO!"

Winsmith-R-XXY-3

Winsmith very chippily says to the man, "Sorry sir, seems I've overslept."

Phillip-R-JE7-2

Phillip smiles at the new arrival. "Hello, Citizen! Our mission, given to us by Friend Computer, was to arrive here at this time to escort a technician. If you are him, I believe you may in fact have arrived two daycycles early by mistake, unless you are suggesting that Friend Computer has made so grievous an error...   Of course you aren't. May I see your identicard so I can confirm you are in fact the technician we have been assigned to escort, and not a commie spy?"

EDIT: I'm Phillip-2 now. :(

The man belches and angrily says, "I ain't gonna show you anything. Now follow me, we're going to have to take a flybot to get to the elevator in any reasonable amount of time. Fucking troubleshooters, all you have to do is die, and you always fail at it."

Bob turns around and stomps out the room.

Winsmith-R-XXY-3

Winsmith very chippily says to the man, "Sorry sir, seems I've overslept."

You've been dragged away by IntSec. I'll deal with you in PMs. You're still on your 2nd clone, and alive, for now.

Ah, sorry, I figured that meant that character was dead.

Assuming you are all sane enough to follow the technician, he leads you throughout the entire sector on some sort of wild goose chase looking for a Flybot Depot. Eventually he accidentally stumbles into one and begins haggling with the ORANGE attendant.

Finally, he succeeds and manages to procure the most damaged and misused flybot you have ever seen. The machine drags sparking wires on the ground as the attendant and several jackbots wheel it towards you.

Bob says, "Well get in. We're late."

Seeing that you intend to fly the meal deathtrap, the attendant dives for cover.

Phillip-R-JE7-2

Seeing the horrific state of the flybot (and having been recently reminded of the kind of pain they can cause) Phillip will attempt to fix the most grievous of the security violations.

"You get yourself buckled in sir, I just need to do a quick pre-flight on this Flybot. There seem to be a few horrifically dangerous maintenance issues that will slow down our flight and likely kill us all. I promise that we'll more than make up the time it takes to get them in working order.

"Besides, No use getting there if we arrive dead! We'd just have to get another flybot and do it again." This is said with a genuine smile.

Some sort of social skill to convince him to wait calmly. Perhaps Chutzpah at 6?

Regardless whether he plans to wait calmly, Bob have to wait. Phillip will begin fixing the flybot. He will of course follow proper maintenance protocols which dictate deactivating the engines before attempting any internal repairs. He'll stick to only the most dangerous problems and do whatever he can in 15 minutes.

If not, sorry for the firey explosion!
