So, the combination of work + grad school + inconsistent players that smell too badly to let into my house = my gaming needs are not being met.
I've dabbled in Roll20 and Google Hangouts enough to know that the experience is quite fun, and I'm looking to get a fun group together for some gaming action!
I love running one-shots and mini-campaigns, and I enjoy trying out as many different systems as possible. I also like groups that rotate GMs.
I am currently in Central Time Zone, and nights from maybe 7:30/8:00 to 10:00-11:00ish work best.
If you are interested, just post! :D
-
I am on the wrong continent sadly. But I might be able to join for a one-shot or mini campaign once in a while ;)
-
I happen to be on the correct continent and some evenings work for me: I also like GMing and trying new and different games, so that works too. Color me interested!
-
You had me till you said a fun group. I can't start having fun at this stage of my life.
-
I might be interested in games on occasion (both playing and running), but am pretty busy, so unless you are looking to really fill out a group, feel free to pass up on me....

Fun is hard. Fun is work. If it will get you on board, we can go sullen and grimdark.

Don't be sad, be glad! Glad that you can join us at 2:00 AM to begin some sweet CoC action. 8)

I was honestly planning on doing mostly one-shots. That way there is a little more flexibility and less stress of commitment.
-
As I said if I don't have stuff to do next morning I can join in for a game or two ;)
-
I'd be down for the occasional game. My usual group typically plays on the weekend, so I find myself jonesing for a game during the week sometimes.
-
I'm interested, on the correct Continent and I haven't gotten my CoC fix in faaaarrrrr too long. Colour me in.
-
I feel like a Ka-Tet is beginning to form.
Should we do a rules light system as a test run?
-
Fiasco might work well
-
Fiasco's always a fun time, but we can also do something like Monsters (well, Candlewick) or Don't Rest Your Head. There's also Everyone is John (https://wso.williams.edu/~msulliva/campaigns/john/), which I've always wanted to try.
-
I have also wanted to try Everyone is John. But Fiasco IS always fun.
-
Indeed! Should we figure out a time to do this? I can't do Sundays, since that's when I run my Base Raiders campaign: Tuesdays are my preferred day, since I don't have to be up early the next day and I like having Fridays free to go out with people, but I'm otherwise wide open. I can do Fridays if it's the only time that works for everyone, though.
-
Dienstag ist nicht sehr gut, also Sunday is no good. Otherwise I'm open.
-
I will have to decide on a week by week basis, depending on what shifts I work. But over the week currently should be better than the weekend.
Even if I'd have time tomorrow or saturday.
-
I'm interested. My availability is a bit limited, but I'd love to give it a try if things work out.
-
I live on the extreme west end of North America. My availability varies but I tend to be free Friday-Sunday after 7:00 Central Time.
My group has little time to play so we're 4.5 years into our first d&d campaign. I like investigative games, and would love to run the No Security Hexalogy (Which I arrange as: Lover in the Ice-Revelations-Bryson Springs-Red Tower-Fall without End-Wives of March). Call of Cthulhu is a fairly simple game to play, and I know how to use Roll20 and Skype.
-
Opps I forgot to mention my availability.
I live in Kentucky, so that makes me Eastern Time.
Friday and Saturday nights work out best for me.
-
We might be a bad target audience for No Security. Having been spoiled by APs and probably reading the scenarios.
-
So, PaulyMuttonchops, you're running this circus. Let's get some forward momentum, here!
-
The past week has = teh suck for me. But YES, let's get this party started. Is anyone available next Wednesday or Thursday night (7:00 CDT to 10ish)?
-
Does that mean in 24 hours or in 8 days? I can do it either way.
-
8 days
-
No, sorry I can't make that. I don't think I've uttered this phrase in 16years, but that's a school night.

I feel like we should run a No Security scenario at some point simply because the idea of speedrunning a tabletop horror game amuses me.

Funny thing, I actually went straight to the end of Revelations and then messed it up when my group played it.

A no security scenario? Darthrex, you muse of gamers!
I think I can put a session together where you speedrun all of them.
-
I know this is rather sudden, but we're going to start playtesting a Trail of Cthulhu scenario for Pelgrane Press tonight a 7 P.M. EST. Anyone interested let me know. So far there are just two players that can make it.
-
Well crap, looks like everything fell apart. We'll probably do this next Friday or Saturday if any of you folks are interested.
