Migo larvae. Just add water.
-
If I'm not mistaken, I believe those are the result of a fungus eating a particular type of larva. They have magical abilities, the most important of which being extracting money from wallets.
-
If I know my China, it's probably something being sold as an aphrodisiac.
-
Went to the Dalian Wax Museum at Golden Pebble Beach. All the Westerners but one were only identified by their last name - so you had Obama, Marx, Tolstoy, Picasso and Guevera. The one who had both his first and last name?
Benny Hill.

Ross, have you hit up a massage place yet? Look for the blind men, they're good. Remember, a proper massage isn't one that feels good, it's one that feels good when they stop hurting you. Or hit a barber shop and get your head rubbed. Heh.
-
And then there're the ones that feel good... wink wink, say no moar.
By which I mean prostitution.
-
Just got in Beijing. Secretary Clinton just left our hotel.

Found a totally awesome art gallery in the 798 art zone in Beijing http://hi.baidu.com/798%CD%AF%C4%EA%BB%D8%D2%E4/blog/item/024ab61eddd2cb69f624e497.html

"You may never own a transformer, a soldier toy or racing car, but you must have played the sand bag, the paper craft or the shuttlecock"
Sounds like a magical place Ross, hope you enjoyed yourself.
Oh, also, I saw that you had a couple e-books up on amazon today. I bought both of them. Hear that Ross? I bought your books!
(and read them too. They were very fun reads, can't wait for the next ones to come out!)

It better not involve the partially buried temple mound of an ancient Chinese ruler and tens of thousands of his terra-cotta warriors that actually contain the desiccated and withered bodies of undead zombie soldiers who wait to destroy anyone foolish enough to disturb the immemorial slumber of their evil necromancer king!
-
Interestingly enough, the terracotta army from the Qin dynasty (221-205 BCE) are not all individualized copies of his soldiers, but in fact made of a mixture of about 7 different people. This was to emphasis that people were not individual, but rather that they were creations of the state.... Sorry, I just took a class on it actually.
