: What AP would you like RPPR to do?
: Gorkamorka November 26, 2012, 07:54:45 AM
So I'm not a part of RPPR and have no say over what they play.  But Calebs "What should I run next" thread gave me an idea.

What game do you, the listener, think the RPPR should play?  And why?  More CoC is not an option.  It has to be something they are not doing already.

My votes are.
Ars Magics --- The troupe stile play allows for swapping of GMs and changes in the player group.  Plus who does not want to hear the RPPR guys play scheming wizards.

Dogs in the Vineyard --- Because I want to hear the RPPR guys play mormon paladins dealing with moral quandaries.

Apocalypse world --- Because it would fit them like a glove.  Fast and simple combat system and everything is about player interaction with each other.

Imma run another League of Extraordinary Gentlemen with Don Cheadle's Captain Planet as a villain: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/26/captain-planet-2-don-cheadle-funny-or-die-video_n_2192977.html?ref=topbar

Gonna use Spirit of the Century for the rules. Probably a 3 part scenario.

It's gonna take some really first class bad-asses to overcome such a powerful opponent.

Shadowrun might be interesting.

Mage: The Awakening. It'd probably take more effort than it's worth for a single game, but I want to see what everyone would do with that much power. Also as a DM you can just say 'a wizard did it' when you just don't give a fuck anymore.

I'd like to hear Dogs in the Vineyards too because I'd love to hear how that system plays.

Tekumel:  Empire of the Petal Throne/Jorune (alien RP)

Og

TWERPS

Continuum (voted best RPG on Earth that no one is ever going to play; i'd like to see what kind of baroque and complex political plot Caleb could come up with)

Everway

Look, I love World of Darkness, especially New World of Darkness. And I don't want to have to listen (and I would have to listen) to the RPPR guys stumble their way through Mage. It's a complex game with complex open ended powers.

Do you honestly think that anything good could possibly come from Tom Church having Life magic? And Aaron? Jason actually knows how to play the New World of Darkness, imagine the chaos that may rain down upon all. God have mercy if Caleb was able to get hold of improvised casting, look what he comes up with without magical powers in A Dirty World.

And poor Ross would have to try and manage that chaotic mess while still trying to give the game a goal of some kind.

No, no. It should not come to pass.

Yer prolly right; they'd try to figure it out and then it'd be a 'Real Life' SCP event to be cleaned up by some Delta Green style agency...

Caleb would go into a state of Quiet
Ross would use his knowledge to actually playtest his stories while within them
Aaron would learn to dissemble
Tom would disappear to be replaced by Dante, Randall & Silent Bob
Truly total horror...

I can't see a single thing wrong with giving Caleb the ability to turn back time and see into the future. Or letting Aaron alter the laws of physics whenever he feels like it.

NOT A SINGLE THING.

I would love to hear the RPPR crew give the Black Crusade rules (AKA: Everyone is Riddick, the Game) a try with the Broken Chains adventure. The characters are a lovable bunch of murderous psychopaths who all start out in a prison ship (this is written on the character sheets, not a spoiler) and must work together to get the fuck out of Dodge!

There's even a... techie... for Aaron to play!
(this is the one system Aaron will not enjoy what constitutes being a techie  ;D)

That sounds even better than a Lady Gaga 2.0 sequel! I hope they decide to play at least a short series of Mage games.

Think of it as a stimulus package for Delta Green and the SCP Foundation.
