Laid over 40 pages today but formatting for the monsters takes more time. Hopefully Thursday. The entire PDF is over 22,000 words at this point and with several original pieces of artwork.

unacceptable! j/k

Very well, but rest assured this will be remembered at the next senior partner meeting!
-
Having spent a good 2 hours proofreading a large section of it. It's well worth the extra 24-48 hour wait.

Speaking on behalf of the listeners, I'm sure it is. And we'll likely cheer him greatly after we have it. Until then, the whip needs cracking. But all in good fun, we're not even using the cat-of-nine-tails.

And, after all, we're still not as bad as WoC about release dates.

You mean the dangeling carrot with books and the 'we'll get to it eventually' with electronics?
They're changing it again too. I just got an email regarding changes in the subscription for Dungeon and Dragon. Short story is rates are going up.

Delay increases
anticipation increases
to distract myself I masturbate with feces...

Post all mistakes and stuff here.

Congratulations to all who worked on it! :)
I've downloaded and look forward to reading it over the weekend.

It looks awesome so far. I just looked it over and I am very happy with making the contribution that I did. Great Job Ross, and all that helped along the way.
-
Well worth it! I'd do it again! Now I can use my forgotten realms campaign setting book as liner at the bottom of my bird's cage.
Excellent job to everyone!
-
Looks good at first glance. I like the artwork alot, especially the Grippli pieces. I'll be reading for content over the next few days.
That is actually has maps impresses me greatly as well, I wasn't expecting them.
-
Yeah your art work in it looks great! Thanks agian RPPR!

Thank the four artists who contributed to the primer. I'm going to set up an image gallery on the RPPR site to showcase it because it's all so damn great.
As for the maps, I bought a copy of Dunjinni and I have figured it out pretty well. I already have an idea for another ransom project: A bigass dungeon crawl/module based on the goblin hulk. Map out every deck and let the players either start as goblins trying to survive and take over the hulk or as adventurers invading the hulk to destroy it.
-
That does sound awesome.
You could then, after doing that, write an adventure in the style of the "expediation" books from Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 set later on after the hulk has been sunk, allowing the players to loot what is effectivally a new dungeon where all the nasties from the deep blue and the bottom of the bay came to hide and snack on smaller things.
Half above, half underwater, partly in caverns that the hulk crashed into, unleashing formerly unknown horrors sealed below the bay so what began as a looting run is now a quest to save the world by not only pushing back the nasty but somehow sealing it up again with the hulk threatening to come crushing down as it rots and break the little hole open alot wider.
...
Okay, that got away from me a little but I think I conveyed my original idea at some point.

Really exited to see this released! Once my players decide to actually show up I will be using the hell out of it.
Love the Idea of using the sunken hulk as a huge dungeon crawl! Will have to shamelessly steal that Idea for the future.
-
its up on the main page! haha!
-
err i mean to say finally see it hehe
I r awesom typergai!

Love this primer, I'm starting a campaign that was very similar and this has added a ton of ideas. I've also been listening to the audio for actual play and I love em. Keep it up!

Ross ran another explore type game a few years back and colonial America has always fascinated me as a student of American literature and culture, so if you ever need more ideas just ask the RPPR board.
-
Awesome I'll put a post on the forum for further ideas.

I think the story of the Primer is proof that we have some awesome fans. I know this comes off as touchy/feely and you aren't used to it from the Cathartic Lobster, but seriously, everyone on this forum is abso-fucking-lutely awesome.
-
woot im loved.
-
I just saw the Primer over on one of the torrent sites. Sign you definitely did something right, in a way.

Heya Ross, any change your planning to release more of your campaign setting materials? Maps, NPC's, stat blocks?
