Throkar

Throkar was just finishing up his 'conversation' with an uncomfortable chair he had been sitting in.  As it lay in pieces beyond repair, Throkar received a call informing him on the crime scene.

"Whut it look like?  Who did it?"  Was the response from Throkar.  he was reminded that it was his job to answer them.  Throkar had a 'conversation' with his phone after that remark.

He quickly grabbed his big, fuzzy red scarf, buttoned up his vest over his newly ironed shirt and walked out the door.  Returning moments later for pants.  He then headed in what he believes the direction of the crime scene.

How's this?

Oh btw, Ryu Shaos's kusarigama doesn't have a kama at the end, it's a giant Scythe with the body being slightly curved and the blade is shaped like a large fang.  Just in case you wondered.

The books That started it all for me was The Chronicles of Narnia, then it was the old time dragon lance, now I'm hooked on the forgotten Realms stuff I have around 80 books or so and counting.  but I have to say the best book I have ever read was: How to win Friends and Influence People. By far the most useful book I have ever read granted this isn't the kind of book your probably looking for but its a must read for any one.

This should be under Looking For A Good Book thread.

This thread is for books to AVIOD

Hmm...well...I've listened to that show, didn't pay much attention to the system and how it works...lemme try this...(I planned on a Hero, but eh)

Ryu Shaos, Commanding Officer of the Red Tiger Army, has trained and fought hard for years to build up his mercenary army, which has been employed by the Toyotomi family as of late.  Shaos, being a mercenary, has an almost fierce loyalty to the Takeda Clan however, and is known to fight for their side at nearly half the cost.  Shaos himself is a tall, almost elegant man, who has a air of calm about him.  But, his enemies on the field of battle fear his skill in the use of the kusarigama, which has been called 'Chain of Fate' by followers of Shaos, due to the blade's almost uncanny ability to find the weak points in an enemy, almost homing in on it.  Known to be bloodied beyond recognition, Shaos is also earning himself the name of 'Bloody Ryu', for practically drenching himslef in the blood of his enemies.  His sanity is sometimes questioned, but his orders are tactical and insightful.

(How's that?)

Sorry I keep asking questions, so we give a background info, and do we make-up our skill set?  And if so how do we distribute points to them?

Eep, let's see...I'm still reading how Wushu even works...

Just finished reading about it...I'd like for some kind of example character, like a peon, that I can use as a reference for my character.

When I GM my players are so paranoid about what's behind every corner they try to use Sneak ALL the time.  Even when there's nothing to hide behind.  My players have become VERY tactical with every fight, wanting to know what they can use and what the enemy could do.  It's pretty frustrating alot o the time when it'll be a simple room with a goblin hiding in the corner.  Fights drag on and they like when I explain EVERY little detail of the room so they don't miss ANYTHING.

When fighting a boss, characters will instinctively look for some object around the room to use, such as a chandelier, a lever, a button, a coffin, etc, assuming that it will effectively trap/ bind/ kill said enemy.
