So, I know that one company is workin' on a browser-based Shadowrun MMO type of affair (All I've seen thus far of it are some design philosophies and background art/screenshots, and they've got the tone and design right, at least), but apparently, Weisman has tossed up a kickstarter to fund a project in the Shadowrun universe under his own direction.
And I'm like 'holy shit, yes'

It looks like it's gonna make it.
MAN I HOPE IT MAKES IT.

Ho-lee shit. So I went to sleep at 12, and woke up at 10.
Kickstarter picked up 100K in that time.
It's gonna make it, man. There will be a new Shadowrun vidja game. And unlike the last abortive attempt, developed by people who care about the setting. So stoked.

I'm in. I love Shadowrun table top; actually running two games of it in RL.

Sweet. Which edition?

4th, I'm a convert from 3rd. Love me that unwired.

Nice. I am a 2e grognard though. Don't care 'bout no fancy schmancy wireless stuff.
Also, better flavor text.

Between this shit and Wasteland and Double Fine, we're kind of being flooded with killer retro pc stuff. Never played a SR game (tabletop or otherwise), but I'm tempted to kick in for this.

If you're really interested, get a Genesis emulator (or a Genesis proper) and get you some Shadowrun.
It's a good game, and uses a lot of the source material and rules-set. Much more so than the SNES Shadowrun game (which has a slightly better story, but is mechanically inferior).

You can play it online at Vizzed. Nevermind, Vizzed requires a plugin that looks like spyware. Although, McAfee says it's safe: http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/vizzed.com/downloads/31324555/

Trust McAfee at your own risk.

It's at over $800K.
...PEOPLE LOVE SHADOWRUN, aww yeah.

No joke... I pointed all my friends to the kick starter as all of us thoroughly enjoyed the snes shadorun.

It's almost at a million and a half now. My January 2013 is booked as far as I'm concerned.
As far as the present goes, I'm thinking about starting up a Shadowrun campaign just to hype myself up.
