My mind was blown today.
I found out that in 1986 Neil Gaiman wrote a Cthulhu short story that was published in Dagon magazine nr.16 .
As far as I can see it's Gaimans first published story.
And after some google-fu I dug it up for you. Here you go (http://www.tor.com/stories/2009/12/i-cthulhu-or-whats-a-tentacle-faced-thing-like-me-doing-in-a-sunken-city-like-this-latitude-47d-9-s-longitude-126d-43-w) (Link to tor.com).
Your welcome.
EDIT: Forgot to add the title:
I, Cthulhu, or, What’s A Tentacle-Faced Thing Like Me Doing In A Sunken City Like This (Latitude 47° 9’ S, Longitude 126° 43’ W)?

Fun fact: The second issue of The Sandman: Overture features an aspect of Dream that corresponds to the mythology of the Old Ones.
-
Gaiman has also been published in several Cthulhu anthologies.
Thanks for the link and trivia.

Really? I have to go to my public library and check out The Sandman again. (Yes, my local library has Sandman. It's cool that way 8))
On a side note. Here is another Old One story by him that I didn't know about. Some kind soul on the internet told me about it on in another forum.
He also wrote A Study in Emerald (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Study_in_Emerald).
