I've been watching a lot of A-Team lately, and was thinking about the LoEG 1980's and a couple of other things, and long story short, got an idea for a campaign, but haven't found a really appropriate system yet. It would basically be a bit of A-Team meets Mission: Impossible with a touch of Archer (FX TV show). It would be episodic likely with a mix of Cold-War, organized crime, and "personal interest" missions (like pretty much any episode of A-Team or Mission: Impossible) focused on being a bit comedic/pulp-actiony with over the top plans and action.
That said, I'm looking for a system with pretty "normal" rules for modern (don't need unnatural horrors or fantastic creatures, or sci-fi tech). A lot of my group is familiar and pretty pleased with Savage Worlds (though I'm not a huge fan myself), so I was thinking if I could find some supplement for that to get me started, I could fill in the rest of the details. I have seen "Tour of Darkness," which is a Cthulhu/Vietnam kind of crossover supplement/setting for SW, but I was hoping for something a little more modern.
So if you have any suggestions, I'd appreciate them...

World of Darkness is my go to for mundane modern settings. For over the top additions check out their April Fools PDF: Dudes of Legend, which has "playable" mechanics for alot of odd things.

Savage Worlds was going to be my first suggestion, but if you're still looking for more...
I suggest FATE if you want a very character-driven story. It works well for modern and has all the rules already in place for pulp-y action.

M.A.T.A.L the modern version of F.A.T.A.L

Seems like NWOD is good from the APs I've seen here.
I have GURPS which I use for whatever, but it's not some people's cup of tea.

Yeah GURPS had occurred to me, but there are so many rules that I don't really want to go through all the work of getting everyone to learn it. But it would probably be pretty good for the setting...

Hey if your looking for a new system>>>>>
Try my new system which you can download here: https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0ByYjrjEoa2EkMjk4Y2UzNWQtODkyOC00NWVkLTlkZmEtOWJhYjJlZjQ1NTNl&sort=name&layout=list&num=50 (https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0ByYjrjEoa2EkMjk4Y2UzNWQtODkyOC00NWVkLTlkZmEtOWJhYjJlZjQ1NTNl&sort=name&layout=list&num=50),
It may not be modern, but it may give you some ideas.

Ross suggested this in another thread, it may work for what you want: http://bleedingplay.wordpress.com/geiger/

GURPS, once again. The GUMSHOE system is pretty cool too.

Pulpy would probably fit best with Savage Worlds.
I've never actually played it, but it sounds like a good system.

Yeah, I can totally see SW working really well, but I was looking for a setting book or something in it to do some of the work for me so I don't have to do a lot of creation of weapons, items, edges, hindrances, and the like (I could also take a look to get a feel for balance)...
