It was cold and dark.
So cold.
What'd ya'll end up doing while the forums were down? I booted up Starcraft 2 off of a guest pass and decided it was shit.
GOOD TIMES
-
Lol, I went to bed.
-
Bluehost, my webhost, lost power for 5 hours. People went ape shit on twitter.

I considered doing that, but decided there wasn't much point.
It got you to post something on twitter besides youtube links though, so that's something.

Well that's the problem: no contribution = no feedback. It's like rule #1 of creating something on the internet.

If I could figure out how to auto update twitter everytime something on rppr or rppr ap is posted, I would but I have limits as to content creation. I already do 2 podcasts and write WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME
I'M NOT A MACHINE
I CAN'T JUST TURN IT ON

Well obviously - but who says you have to be the one to run the RPPR twitter? Delegate responsibility!

Doesn't Arje basically run the forums? But whatever, you're in charge, convince Tom to do it! With a cattle prod if necessary.

no
I ban the spambots and shit
RJ did set up the PbP forums and some other features
but I do the day to day stuff
-
Mmk, gotcha. Wasn't sure about that.
The point should be made though that running an official RPPR twitter (rather than your own) would take about as much effort as maintaining the Facebook group/page/whatever the fuck the word is in the Facebook lexicon.
Could be used to update the fans as to when APs are posted, or if there will be delays explain why.
Just an easy tool to keep fans in the loop.
-
well, it's not like rppr has new content on a daily basis. The regular rppr podcast pretty much varies from monthly to quarterly releases and the AP podcast is usually weekly. So is twitter really necessary?

The main podcast is monthly at its worst. It's never been quarterly.

Well not for simply posting 'Oh hey guys the podcasts are up' but for updates on the ransoms, progress on different projects, etc.
Even the random "lol :3" or two would be enough.

Apparently no matter what you do it is never enough for the rabid screaming fans here on the forums...
You really have made the big time.
-
Actually in this case I'm much more mollified by the Actual Play than I would be with the RPPR episode.
