: Call of Cthulhu
: Max_Writer December 14, 2010, 12:49:26 PM
Are we going to see any more actual play of Call of Cthulhu?

I've enjoyed all of those posted at the website so far and would like to hear more please.

There are two (I think) in the AP package that you get for donating to the Lemurian Kickstarter, so I can safely say that if you wait long enough the CoC games will be posted XD.

Who's the baddest 80s game, that hasn't fundmentally changed in thirty years and still manages to play as a more or less coherant game while its contemporaries grow increasing more insane?

Cthulhu!

Shut your manifold maws!

I'm just talkin' 'bout Cthulhu.

We can excavate it.

i would legitimately enjoy a plain jane Masks of Nyarlathotep or Spawn of Azathoth game being played in its entirety by the RPPR crew

none of this delta green stuff

And the lamentations of the RPPR audience are still heard to this day.

the masks campaign was done before RPPR really started

I would run it again but Tom and Jason already know the plot

has RPPR ever actually recorded a non-glancy call of cthulhu game?

seems kind of weird

There's the Well of Sacrifices game. Bad recording quality (damn con games) but a fun one.

uh

the only APs with Glancy are U-Boote Herasus and Dig to Victory

So, the rest of them do not feature him.

I assumed he meant classic cthulhu i.e. not DG

Aaron's game, the Haunting. Also, picky much? And again also: record more Call of Cthulhu, it is awesome.

Room B12, A Murder of Crows, Divine Fire, the KGB sequel to Divine Fire,  The End of the World as We Know it, and Omar Shakti Must Die are all Non-DG and non-Glancy games.
But, why so much dislike for those games? DG is a great way to frame a story, without the need for a long-lost uncle of an investigator, who either leaves a previously unheard-of mansion as inheritance or sends a mysterious tome with a note saying burn it.
Also, the Adam Scott Glancy games are pretty epic in scale and pretty fun for everyone involved. They feature Ross and Tom playing on the same side of the table, which is always fun.

the glancy con games are probably my favorite APs on the site

apparently i am a big dumb baby though because you guys have done old call of cthulhu fairly regularly

I have a hard time manuevering around the RPPR site (not internet savvy enough).  I have found the following but can't seem to find any other CoC games:

Dig to Victory
WW2 Playtest (Divine Fire with Germans)
WW2 Playtest 2 (Divine Fire with prisoners)
Murder of Crows
End of the World
Owlshead Mountain
Wrath of Cthulhu
Well of Sacrafices
U-Boote Heraus
Night Shift
Prototype
Room B12

Have I missed any? What is the KGB Divine Fire and where?

Thanks.

KGB divine fire isnt public yet - it was part of a ransom set in the summer. I should post it soon though.

Thanks. I did (somehow) find others:

Bell Island (Liberty ship - cool)
Operation Obsidian
Divine Fire GenCon 10
Convergence
Omar Shaktin Must Die

The Fear Itself ones look good too. Especially Slender Man. I've been wanting to write a scenario for CoC based on him since I discovered him a couple weeks ago.

The best CoC episode is Aaron's Hazing.
I listen to it to pump up before going off to be an ass to my GM.

It really is one of the funniest episodes ever. You dicks.

I don't see that one ...
: Re: Call of Cthulhu

It was given out as a reward to the "GET AARON TO GENCON" kickstarter.  Ross should really release it one of these days.

I just love that AP because Adam Scott Glancy supposedly referred to all the guys as "douchenozzles" after hearing about it.
