How are you folks in Springfield doing with this weather? We are expecting 2 ft here in Maine.
-
Let's put it this way. Welcome to Snowpocolypse 2011.
-
8 inches of snow so far around the rppr hq (aka my place)
-
A friend an hour from Springfield says he has over a foot and is snowed in.
-
Hmm...
It was like 75F here the other day...
-
A high of 63 today, little gloomy but the sun broke through in the after noon, I took my hoody off because I got a little warm.
-

My parents live about 30 minutes outside of Springfield and already have two-foot snowdrifts around their property. So yeah, fun.
-
Seven inches in upstate NY, and we're expecting a foot again tomorrow.
Good news? The governor may declare a state of emergency and have all nonessential stateworkers stay home.
Bad news? The call center I work in might be temporarily picked to be 'essential' while we man all the emergency lines. :-[

Here in Arizona we're hoping California slides into the ocean, so that (per Bill Hicks) we all end up with a nice little bit of beach-side property on a place called Arizona Bay.

I live in an apartment and therefore have no snow shovel, so I am using some kitchen pots to move the snow. I either look crazy or poor.

Why can't it be both?
We've talked about this cody. The only limits you have are the ones you place on yourself.

I lived through one east-coast winter back in the late 90s and lets just say that I was happy that California didn't have any Decembers like that when I was growing up...
Yeah, California might slide into the ocean one of these days, but at least its a beautiful, sunny 74 degrees much of the year. If 36 years of mostly beautiful weather means losing my life, well, fuck me, I'm a pragmatist. I reject a foot and a half of snow as completely impractical to my own continued existence!
Hope you RPPRs are staying safe and staying warm.
Today seems like a good opportunity to put on your skis and slalom down the streets of Springfield!

I'm going to pile onto the a-hole wagon. While you guys are under several feet of snow tonight, I will be in Cali, on my balcony, in boards and and wife-beater, grilling thresher shark steaks drizziled with a miso-citrus glaze on cedar planks....watching the weather coverage of you guys on CNN.

We're getting a break in the weather here in the Pacific Northwest too. It's cold but it's been dry and now that the sun is showing more and more we're getting less and less frost and ice.

Eh, it's not so bad now. I was just pissed because my power was on the verge of going out.

I have pics of the wall of snow that surrounds my house from the first blizzard on my Facebook. You can find me through Ross.
