Title: yeah rpgs are pretty great
Post by: Z on June 26, 2011, 07:28:04 PM
D&D is really silly as a concept and every time i play it it is bad but w/e

mage seems really cool but all the people that play it i've talked to are weird and fat

vampire has been fun every time i've played it but the shame is literally unbearable

every time someone explains exalted to me i zone out and think about dogs

one-roll engine games own without exception

pathfinder is like D&D but more shameful but the art is real good

does besm still exist

twilight 2000 is scary to read

unknown armies yes yes yes yes yes

call of cthulhu is the best

delta green is kinda gunporny but i can appreciate it

listen to the darkest of the hillside thickets

welp

I believe ross only answers questions in the form of "Fucking Rifts, how does it work?"

the climbing skill has two separate percentages listed - one for climbing up and one for rappelling. Rappelling is 10% harder than climbing up.

Kevin Siembieda researched his shit and then quantified that research into carefully selected numbers to avoid blowing too many minds.

someone tried to convince me that Exalted was good by saying that you could be a mountain fighting a lake

is the Exalted sourcebook just a hollowed out Mage book with a discreet bag of crystal meth in it

They exist. They just aren't Exalted.
Accept my mockery with a grain of salt, I really enjoy Exalted.

I'm sorry OP, but World of Synnibar is the best.

Does Call of Cthulbulhule have rocket launchers that fire 800 rockets a round? And a league of female weremen? NO IT DOES NOT.

Nor does it have weapons that do 1d6 * 2 billion damage.

But does Synnibarr have stats for anal circumference potential? Magic items like "Spinning Wheel of Spinal Cord Snapping", "Gloves of Spanking", "Potion of Quintuplet Impregnation", and "Rapeseed of Raping"? Spells such as "To Win at Dice", "Spermicidal Sphere" and "Recipe for Skin Disease"?

FATAL and synibar are on equal ground as far as I'm concerned

fuck no synnibar is the plan 9 from outer space of rpgs and is hilariously awesome

FATAL is SAN draining horror that should be burned

i would contribute to a Ransom for the chance to listen to the RPPR crew play synnibar and FATAL in one gigantic marathon spree.

Or at the same time, FATAL brings the rules, Synnibarr the setting.  Whats worse then a giant Werestorm? A Werestorm that can impregnate you with magic.

i am glad FATAL exists just because the rulebook made one of my friends say "that is a downright implausible diameter for an anus"

True story. I was talking to some friends before a game. One of them made fun of me for some reason. My reply: "Joe, help Max with his skills." That shut Joe up for almost an hour.

We Exalted players feel no guilt nor do we need to dignify things.
