Tell me someone else here is interested. I've already got a few people who are going to run be devoured with me.
This is gonna be soooooo cool!
And I'm totally packing Ross's book when I go!

I posted it in the Vidyas thread a couple of days ago but I might as well post it here now.

I'd love to go to something similar in the UK.

The problem is that it's in Baltimore. If I was in NE, I would think about it. I'm not in 5K shape (yet) though.
-
Eh, not sure I am either. :P
I'll be training every day from today through the 22nd - I recently took part in a 5K through work, and I used to run quite a bit, but due to recent... events, I've been letting myself go. This is the perfect incentive to get back in shape, and hell, it's an adventure.
My best friend and my sister will be running it with me, we've been trying to set up a plan to cooperate already. ;D
We are going to beat the apocalypse, come hell or high water.
-
well if it makes you feel better you only have to run faster than the slowest guy in your group in the case of an actual zombie apocalypse.
-
i did pretty terribly at tough mudder so maybe i can succeed at this
:(

Who's got two thumbs and is the slowest guy in his group?
<-This guy. ;D

props for trying it. i was too lazy to enter :(
this 5k thing would be doable for me if it weren't in Baltimore. I've been real bad with money lately.
-
Ugh why can't this be around Chicago, I'd be on this in a heartbeat.

Resurrecting my thread for an update - Run For Your Lives Boston (http://runforyourlives.com/locations/boston-massachusetts/) is next month, May 5. And there'll be another up near the RPPR dudes in Missouri (http://runforyourlives.com/overview-st-louis-mo/) this August.
I'll be doing the Boston one with a few friends, our heat is the 9:30 race. Any RPPR fans in the area planning on being there?

Would be awesome to try, but it looks like so many other cool things that are directly coinciding with Gen Con this year.

I survived! Here's a picture of my team - I'm the one on the right with the Zombie Food shirt.
Managed to survive with one of my three flags - the other male runner in the picture likewise kept a single flag, the rest of my team lost all theirs. We finished with a time of 1 hour, 6 minutes on a 5K course. The obstacles were... interesting, to say the least.

That's awesome! :D Also, I would be dead in the first 10 minutes had I tried that.
