Just wondering if anyone has nothing better to do, I'm kinda looking for 1-2 players for a skype game of Call of Cthulhu (or possibly Delta Green, but most likely CoC), I'll be running a game Friday the 16th, ~6pm central
Set in the 90s, the PC's are members of an online newsgroup dedicated to paranormal, conspiracy theories, UFO's etc, and there's been talk of someone spontaneously combusted inside an amusement park.
Amidst all the weird theories and research to try to find who it could have been and what actually happened, some people have discovered that the amusement park is one of the last visited places of many people who were reported missing, some of their cars were found abandoned hundreds of miles away, and in different cities/counties/states, and no evidence of anybody going missing inside the park or in the surrounding area.
But several people on the newsgroups still suspect something odd going on there, either poltergeists, aliens, government death ray tests, or whatever their pet theory happens to be.
So, they organized their schedules, and a group of them are going there for a week to scope it out (if anything else, its a good excuse to hang out in person and amuse themselves at a big theme park.)
disclaimers: It could very well suck, its my first time running Call of Cthulhu, or running or playing any game in a couple years. The other people in the group will probably use very bad language, tell horrible inappropriate jokes, and in general be asses (think New World ep 2 + The Haunting), pretty much just posting this cause I said I would try and get another person or 2 and don't have any real friends (god damn can I sell a game or what..)

I'd like to get in on it but I'm pretty bust this week. Another time in the early part of the week I'd be down.

If you ever change nights, shoot me a PM and I'll try to jump in. My girlfriend also games, and would probably want to join or at least kibitz a bit. :]

Actually we had to delay, and will probably reschedule since we lost our canadian because she apparently wants to stay employed for some reason and chose that over our game.
So we can take it into account when trying to schedule, are any nights better/worse? We'd prefer weeknights.

When you have a date in mind, toss it up on here. I'd be happy to join in if the time works and you need someone else, but as I'm East Coast, not sure if it would work out midweek.
Still, it would be fun to do a game sometime.

OK, apparently its on for tomorrow/today (Friday 23rd), at ~6pm (the time can still be moved later if needed), so one hell of a reschedule.
And while there is no pancake jamboree, there is the Batter of the Bulge Pancake House, for some fine Luftwaffles and Panzercakes.

It's a Skype game, you can join the chat and put your mike on Mute to listen in. Or, hell, just don't plug your mike in.

Apparently its going to be a Vent game, instead of skype, (if that matters, or we can always use whatever)
And it may or may not have to wait yet another week (my friend who is kinda the main reason I'm trying to run the game in the first place, and who probably should live in a plastic bubble, got sick last night and is losing her voice (says she sounds like Cheryl Merkowski (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiQiaFsEfkI)), so just waiting for her to get home and see if shes up for it.
*ok, I guess not this week, as usual she failed at life.

who knows, you might get lucky and have Ross turn up to spontaneously encourage the whole group to see the sanity stripping horror he just found or to unload both barrels of his 12 gauge in a knee jerk reaction to something mildly disturbing.

Could you confirm the players of the game before Friday? The reason I ask is that you already had a lot of interest before I posted in the thread and I'd like to know whether you have room for me and if I should be ready to play or not.

I dont necessarily care how many people join (within reason, somewhere between 1-3 more i suppose), so far theres 3 of my friends playing, so 4-6 is a good size.
So I guess I'll take the next 3 or so people who say they can.
As for recording it, I spose will, although I deeply hate the sound of my own voice.

OK...so that happened...
Be glad vent crashed when it did, 5 minutes later my computer squeeled like a robotic rabbit getting its testes crushed by a strippers heel. Nearly deafened the whore on the skype call we were using to test.
Anyway, I think the lesson in all of this is...Do not, ever, install OS X Lion.
And for those who wanted to make it but couldnt...be glad.
