: What system do you enjoy using for general play?
: Mason March 13, 2009, 02:31:01 PM
Just curious on what system everyone here enjoys playing. right now I'm torn between Percentile and rolling under a target number(Gurps) because there both highly customizable. but if I had to chose Id say GURPS.

My own ideas revolve around percentials but I like using world of darkness, gathering dice based on dots.

Which would that be?

I'm a big big fan of percentile based skills and powers. It just seems so logical to me.

I had forgotten that FASA's old games were also percentile based, so I'm now borrowing a metric ton of FASA Star Trek game books from a friend who has a real nice collection, and I'm scanning them all and making them into PDFs so I can have my own copies of the books. Once I get the Star Trek books scanned, I'm going to try and fire-up a pbp Star Trek game!  ;D

I go with Gurps-style because it can be kept fairly simple with good ole' D6s.

I like Target Numbers a la D&D or "hits" a la Exalted or Shadowrun. Percentile I can take or leave, but I don't like roll under that much. I even adjust BESM so it's roll-over instead.
