: The Tunnels of the Terrible Heads, and other Charnel Houses!
: Zombieneighbours May 02, 2015, 08:31:55 AM
So, you gits have done it again. between the van art episode and the Sailors on the Starless Sea, I am know hooked on DCC.

Below is the sketch for the map I am drawing for my first attempt at a DCC lvl-0 funnel. As it progresses(some might consider it NSFW, so be warned), I am going to post more of it here, along with any future one page DCC adventures I put together.  I'd love to hear what DCC stuff the community has been upto too.

You have the art style down, I'll give you that.

Are the unicorns murderous?

I like the unicorn warning sign.

Also, if I were a player, I wouldn't step NEAR that fucking owl.  FUCK.  THAT.  No good can come from that room.

Something about this gives me a kind of Monkey Island feel. I think it's the trio of stacked heads.

Ross, for the unicorns I was thinking something alone the lines of equoid (http://www.tor.com/stories/2013/09/equoid), because the premise is going to be that all fae creatures are the result of Shub-Niggurath, with the entire setting in a massive battle between chaos and law, where nature is chaos and law is THE CITY, and the city is ruled by the King in Yellow. Carcosa is going to be this gothic-punk heavy metal dystopia of heavy industry and smog and pipes and oil and crazy bureaucracy, and horror, while nature is going to be fecund and sensual and mutates and alien and totally gross.

Not that I wasn't tempted to have them be like sparkles!

So this is my first experiment with laying out the adventure. Thought you guys might enjoy seeing it. The copy is still far from finished and this was my first time using scribus, but still, a lot of fun.

Thanks. Not all of it is my work sadly, while the boarder and copy are mine, as is the poor arsed  layout, the art is stock art. For the final thing I need to replace that, because while I maybe can't do better, I can do something that will fit with my style and approach better.

Props for the border though, big time.
