I am thinking of entering the Ennie Awards this year. http://www.ennie-awards.com/publishers/how_to_enter.asp

It requires 5 podcast episodes from May 1 2008 to April 30 2009. What episodes in the last year do you think I should enter?

I'd go with episode 28, 24, 23, 20 and ABSOLUTELY 14. The interview with Matt Vancil was pretty good too.

Good luck anyhow.

14? Really? I never would have thought to pick it. Why that one?

I agree on 14 myself, actually. Just because it's so generally useful in ways that some gamers aren't quite as likely to think about. It's also a topic that's less likely to have already covered in detail elsewhere. I would also recommend Episode 22 and 23 and the Fear Itself actual play (you do very good horror episodes). I also suggest episode 25 because it's another topic that most gamers aren't necessarily going to leap to right away.

14 is a good once because you cover alot of ground.

I think you need episode 1 in there to show how far you've come and because that has the story of Tom killing the cultist in London.

I'd say 1, 14, 25, 27, the Fear Itself Actual Play.

25 because, as you guys said, how many podcasts talk about "happy gaming"?

14 was a wicked episode. It gave good info on various materials that can be really useful for different campaigns, and the talk about CSI and Buffy still makes me laugh.

It's true the Fear Itself Actual Play was really good.

Tom's confession about being a cheater right in front of you is a classic, I laughed so much. Which episode was it?

One question I have, where I can get the earlier episodes of the podcast? My RSS reader only goes to Episode 18 and I would love to try to find some of the earlier stuff to listen to.

As far as which ones to put up, definitely put up the Wushu Dodgeball. I haven't laughed like that in a long time plus I wanted to get back into DMing after listening to it.

My picks would be as follows: Episodes 14, 20, 25, 28, and the Fear Itself Actual Play.

And, yes, Episode 14 is arguably my favorite episode. One of the most helpful and informative, among many.

Okay, picked the final list: 14, 20, 25, Wushu Dodgeball AP and the Fear Itself AP. Close contenders were Dig To Victory, the horror episodes (22 and 23) and episode 28. I didn't chose the horror episodes because I wanted a balanced and broad overview of RPPR and I think the Fear Itself AP is the best horror related bit we've done. Dig to Victory is all Scott Glancy's brilliance not ours and it was a toss up between 28 and the dodgeball AP but I felt that since we do so much AP here that I should put a comedic game as well as a serious game to show our range.

So do they just mail you the award now or are they going to go through the motions of pretending to consider the other "choices"?

first we have to be nominated before we can win.

We on the list http://enniejudge.blogspot.com/2009/05/updated-list.html

Which only means that I filled out the entry form and mailed the CDs without making a mistake. Honestly, I'll be satisfied if we get nominated because that's up to the panel of judges. The actual award is based on an online vote which is subject to all kinds of crazy shenanigans.

I found AGC kind of boring, and I don't listen to O66, but BG, RtN, and VotR are all good.

Of the above list, I hope Return to Northmoor wins.

I don't listen to any of those.

i listen to return to nortmoor, it is good, dont think there as good as you guys but there a lot more clean too, so that may be why. they sadly havent made a new post in like 3 months due to remodling.

I listen to Return to Northmoor. I enjoy it quite a bit. I also like the rather narrowed focus that it has. I will be cheering them on for this.

I've listened to Order 66 off and on and there are some things about it I enjoy, but the hosts just absolutely rub me the wrong way, so I can't stand listening to it that often. It's ridiculously popular among almost everybody I know who plays Star Wars RPGs though, even some of my local SW group listens (and they don't do much online RPG stuff at all, so that's saying something).

The other 3 I haven't even heard of.
