I thought I'd bring this up. Did anyone ever play Dragonstar? I've got most of the books and I fell in love with this 3.0 era campaign setting.

For those of you who don't know, it's basically D&D in space with stuff like Ork pirate ships, Elven liveships. The entire universe has been cut into pie wedges that are controlled by one of 10 Dragon Houses (5 chromatic/5 metallic). A deal was forged that every 1000 years the rule would be handed to the next Dragon House in the cycle. The game's supposed to be set right after the Gold Dragon house hands the throne over to the Red Dragon house. One of the first things that happens after that is the red Dragon Emperor, Mezzenbone, puts a Drow at the head of the elven council and creates a secret police directorate run by the Drow...

I fucking LOVE this setting.

The current campaign a friend of mine is running is set in a land of his own creation but many Dragonstar elements have revealed themselves, he advanced the Dragonstar timeline to a point where if you didn't already know the setting you would think he made it up. Basically he has the last few surviving Dragons from the Dragonstar Universe now inhabit our world and although they are all different colors they are all peaceful with each other and none have proven to be outright evil, in fact the nicest one so far was a Red.

Anywho, yes this setting is pretty awesome.
