: Berserk, anyone?
: Zeriken September 27, 2010, 05:13:27 PM
So yea. (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-09-27/new-berserk-anime-project-launching) Anyone else here watch/read Berserk? What a hard-core guy. I think that Fist of the North Star is stronger than Guts, but Guts is a bigger BadAss.

Anyways, I'm excited about this development. Discuss?

I wish it would end so I could read it all and be done with it. I went on a binge like 4 years ago and read everything up to that point. Then I check back last year and there's more to read. Serial fiction needs to end after a certain point.

it's pretty fucking epic though.

I saw the first episode and I thought it was pretty bitchin'. Other than that I haven't tried to keep up with it. It's one of those "I watched it at a friends house" things.

Yea, I'm at the point of waiting for more releases before starting up.

@Flawless: Yea, he gets more and more bad-ass as the story progresses.

I love the character development, how Guts evolves along his life. I also really like the fighting scenes. The man once fucking cleaved several horsemen AND their horses in one swing.

the anime is worthless because it only covers a small part of the manga - the manga is so fucking huge at this point no animu will ever be able to capture all of it.

just read the manga.

It gets a little crazy when they head for fairy Island (before that too). I liked it better before the rape.

The anime is basically one big promo for the manga (like a lot of anime), but it is still definitely worth watching.
