ok mckma and tad - i changed your roles to author and editor - see if you can post to the main community site

judson - what options do you see available?

I can make blog posts, and edit my site. I don't have any more options than that. I'm not sure whats going on...

*BTW, I've realized the logistical realities of recording a podcast, and that I won't be able to do it. Is it okay if I just maintain a blog?*

Well, I've found a nice way of running things for the one on one game in 4th ed. I've used the Monster Math Cruncher at http://www.asmor.com/scripts/4eMonsterMathCruncher/ and for the level I've put in .25,  so any monster I want to use I just use those stats. When he reaches level 2 I'll enter .5 and so on. So it's been made a little easier. You guys have helped alot with making decisions on what game I'm planning on running. And thanks to the Haiti gamers fund at RPG Now, I have the handbook for Trial of Cthulhu and will be running that whenever our current game tapers out. Thanks guys!

So tonight I'm going to test a 4th game with him. I've grabbed the free adventure from GameMastery, Hollow's Last Hope and I've moved some of the encounters down a peg. It's a fun and interesting module. I'll be making a character to assist him. So, I'm gonna try this out. Just a one-shot to see if I can manage a 4th ed game. Wish me luck!

Hmm, a post-apocalyptic thing sounds interesting. Maybe run it in the CoC system? Provides plenty of scary situations along with a  more story based setting... Ideas are flooding! Now, one more question. I want to run a D&D fantasy game. The D&D world gives a brighter feel often, and alot of the suggestions are fairly dark. So what do you guys think? D20 is tough to run one on one, but I think with a  bit of help from yall I could make it happen. So, have at it!

I and a friend of mine have been playing with a group for a good year and a half. However, as of late he has gotten into a HUGE thing with the DM of said group, and has stopped playing with the group. Though I continue playing with them, I still want to play with him. Gaming groups are hard to come by around here, so we've been trying to play only with one another. Holy crap it's hard. It's really not a ripe enviornment for character development and while I don't suck at DMing, I'm not good enough to make a great experience. So now, I ask you geniuses of the RPPR forums, What the heck should I do to make the play experience better?
