RPGs / To build an evil empire
« on: December 04, 2010, 11:02:56 PM »
I've been playing Evil Genius lately, and I was thinking, this could make a really fucked up RPG with the right people. Case in point, my gf wants an army of robotic bunnies with laser eyes and giant robot squirrels... I have a thing for catgirls and gundams. I was wondering if there is an rpg out there that has this, building your evil genius, designing minions, a secret base, vehicals, ect. I have a feeling there's a M&M book out there for this, but probably not the level of crazyness I'm thinking. I'm also inspired by one of the Stargate RPG book that lets you build your own System Lord empire.

This would be a set of universe specific rules; trying to make this work with mode 1 movement is a great way to summon Cthulhu dancing the Macarena.

This is the response I got to posting a rule sudgestion to my favorite wargame, from the designer and owner of the company.  :D

I found this at half price books and love giant robots... although Transformers porn is a bit creepy. Has anyone played/even heard of this system? I'm wondering whats others think as I start hitting my head against it.

Role Playing Public Radio Podcast / Game suggestion

You should do a game based on Kids Next Door, or am I the only person that ever watched that? I always found the show interesting, and combined with Monsters rules and RPPR humor it could be hilarious.

I was listening to some old eps and heard Ross mentioning a Venture style campaign, what happened to this? It sounded like it was going to get posted...

Found this while trying to find another rpg I remember seeing at Origins but can't remember the name... RPPR needs to play it for a good laugh.

RPGs / OpenRPG

So, with all the talk of google wave, I have to wonder if anyone ever uses OpenRPG. I've played a couple of games on it, and it certenly works better then play by post or chat rooms. Its even got hex and square grids and shit.

How many people out there have looked at this and/or find it interesting? It was a real surprise to hear Ross mention Dresden Codak, part or me wondered if I was the only one that read it. No one I know is really into this kind of thing.
