WWII Yakuza zombies? How about 3 Muskateers zombies? Bay of pigs zombies? Yeah, zombies in a lesser used setting would be awesome.

RPGs / Game Fodder / Story Fodder
« on: January 19, 2012, 02:20:59 AM »
I made an automatic scenario builder based on "A Dirty World"s 10 d10 roll system and... it was kinda boring. Unless you roll 4 or 5 of the same number you don't get any juicy crimes happening and you're stuck with things like "Negligence led to some widespread, low-grade problem - mild illness, a horrible odor from a sewer, car breakdowns, etcetera. Nothing life-threatening." ...Drama!

So I found a pulp plot generator on Drive Thru RPG for cheap. Swung that into action and it's way more fun but a lot less believable. Eg:

A mad scientist wants to hunt for a man in the city slums. The story starts with the players getting into a fight. The players encounter a dense professional fanatic, an impulsive native soldier and a weak evil scientist. The story twists on a greater villain!

Obviously you have to fill in the blanks but it's fun spinning the numbers and trying to invent something cohesive from what they give you.

Hey, just watched the YouTube videos... awesome! But is that Aaron doing the voice over? Sometimes it sounds like him, sometimes it doesn't... if it is him then Aaron: you should do that for a living.

Well done Ross, that must have been a lot of effort! And ACTING!

Just listened to Bell Island actual play...

*****Spoilers!*****

I was so surprised that Ross had that much criticism! As a listener, I loved it. And the funny thing is that they had clues all the time; even they talked about being in the Matrix and how the bow of the ship was flooded, I think they should have followed up on those things. I thought it played out just like a movie and I was very entertained.

Well done, sir!

I'm sending you my legal fees if they sue, but OK!

Btw Ross, Dungeons of Dreadmor was made here in town and I met one of the developers. We chatted about being startup game studios. Excellent time for them!

You have all completely blown my mind. Cody, the depths of your depravity must be honored and repeated to future generations as gospel. Sir, I salute you.

My Tapatalk is still being bitchy. Says the forums need upgrading. I'm on the iPad. But I can still use the browser to get in, so don't change anything if noone else is having an issue!
