I have uploaded "The_Faculty_Party.mp3".

So, after it's loaded, then I go to the site and create a post for it? Or do I need to do it now?

Once you've uploaded your file, you have to wait for Ross to move it over to the right directory on the slangdesign site. (Ross is on vacation, though, so unless Mckma or Setherick can do it for you in his absence, you'll have to wait for him to get back.) Then you can go in and create a post for it. It may be a bit confusing your first time, but you basically just paste the file name in the text box where it says Media URL under Podcast Episode and click the button that says "VERIFY." I believe there are helpful screencaps of the process a page or two back.

Correction: Four pages back. (P. 14)

Oh. My. God. Fiasco is so much fun!

Uploaded RPPR-CP-Fiasco-Picture_Perfect.mp3 to the FTP site.

There is so much hilarity in that file that I mixed it down, tagged it and uploaded it almost immediately after the game ended.

Maybe you could base your fiasco game in Maine and have the two missing players be either PCs or part of the plot.

Holy shit, I wish we had thought of that! It would have been great.

There's always next time...

I just uploaded the second session of my Candlewick game. Deputy Packhammer and Sheriff Toulouse make their first appearance, and the gang gets to meet Wisteria Candlewick.

The filename is RPPR-CP-MaoCT-DSoCwM_02.mp3

We're on hiatus this week because two of our players went to Maine on vacation. There may be Fiasco instead.

RPGs / Re: What RPG books did you buy recently?

During the past few months, I've actually managed to get my hands on quite a few books despite being out of work and broke.

Monsters and other Childish Things
MaoCT: The Dreadful Secrets of Candlewick Manor
nWoD Core Book
Changeling: The Lost
Fiasco (PDF)

Once I get myself re-employed, I hope to purchase more Changeling supplements, as well as Ross's Road Trip book.

Okay, this game just got really messed up.

I walked out of the house wearing a dog collar and a T-shirt with my canine street name on it--because, you know, that's the fad, apparently. My mother forbade me from leaving the house dressed like an asshole, but I ignored her, so she forced me to eat all my meals out of a special dog dish on the floor for the next week.

What kind of fucked up parents would inflict that on their child?

My alter ego is going to need therapy.

Here is a wider one with more stuff.

Ooooh. Fiasco's in there, too. I just bought the PDF from Indie Press Revolution, and read the entire book in two hours. It looks pretty sweet--so sweet, in fact, that I think I might host a session tomorrow night. Should make for a hilarious recording.

Nice job, ristarr. I envy the size of your gaming library, and the collage looks great. You get the IDaMan008 seal of approval, for what it's worth. (Last I checked, $0.85, but the value may have depreciated.)

Although i managed to get to childhood before i got the message that i was Kidnapped, tortured and killed.

It was so sudden, i was only a child...

I got the same message and lost my progress because I didn't log in. Stupid kidnapper.

The author of that game seems to think that all children inherently dislike Brussels Sprouts. I, for one, love and have always loved them. So there.

The main thing I think will be campaign titles (such as mine and ristarr's), and I guess any genre type things (superpowers, heist, war, etc), as well as any resources used (such as The Dreadful Secret of Candlewick Manor)...

That sounds like a good list of things to tag. It'll certainly make it much easier for people to sort through the backlog of posts to find the games they'd like to hear. I'll try to keep those tagging criteria in mind when I write my next post. We're supposed to get together on Friday night to finish up the Candlewick story, so I should have something new for the site by the weekend. Hopefully, there'll be enough interest after the first games that my players will want me to continue with it.

I like the addition of the tag frequency widget. I always thought we could use one of those.

Good work, Mckma. The community podcast site looks awesome.

Just uploaded RPPR-CP-MaoCT-The_Dreadful_Secrets_of_Candlewick_Manor_01.mp3. I listened through most of it to make some campaign notes, and the audio is pretty clean.

I love my Zoom H2.

Tonight I recorded the introductory session of a Monsters and Other Childish Things: Candlewick Manor game. I blatantly stole a lot from Ben Baugh's game with Ross, et al., from GenCon, with more of a thrust toward presenting the corpse in the larder as the hook to a mystery. It went pretty well, and all three of my players expressed interest in continuing the scenario, so depending on how the sound quality on the recording came out, I'll probably upload it in the next couple of days.

I've been in the middle of a roleplaying dry spell lately. It felt good to get back to the table.

Congratulations, sir! May the lad's dice favor 20s, no matter the skill check.

Or something.

Best of luck to lil' Ewen in his exciting post-natal adventure.

I wish I could see the looks on people's faces when they realise the running girl they are letching over is actually Patrick.

Granted. You are horrified to discover that they are even more turned on once they discover that it was Patrick they were lusting after.

I wish my girlfriend wasn't going to Wisconsin next week.

I love the Deep One doughboys and Eyeless Lincoln, who I can only assume is cradling his own intestines. Very nice!

Here's a cheap plug for an indie web series that a friend of mine did the soundtrack for. I found it to be pretty entertaining, so I figured I'd post a link here:
