RPGs / Re: Eclipse Phase

This has probably been asked before, but is it possible to stat aliens, that aren't robotic or cybernetic, and don't originate from trans-humanity? I recall mention of fans using the system for mass effect and am curious what was done to allow players to play the alien races in that scenario?

For what it's worth, my brother did a interview with Caleb recently and just thought I'd put up a link to it here. Have yet to listen to it myself as of yet, but hope to soon.

This is cool! I grin and shake my head every time Caleb describes our funding as generosity. This ain't generosity! It's half glowing gratitude for the countless hours of awesome we've already been fed for free gratis nothing and half raw hunger to see this kind of stuff see the light of day and our sticky hands.

Caleb, do you realize that when you get around to publishing Know Evil in whatever form it eventually takes you're going to essentially coil the entire Eclipse Phase universe around your vision of it? You must've done more thinking and writing about the setting than anyone outside of Posthuman. It'll be a thing of beauty.
Agreed!
I mean for me Candle Cove got me into the AP's, and Caleb's games (including the dirty worlds games, which surprised me as I don't usually like "non fantastical" scenarios) kept me coming back. I love all the other games too, but Caleb's games definitively get my attention above the rest. They're like the specials in your favorite TV... er... radio show.

Hey Caleb,
Apart from Revelations, have you done any other Cthulhu Dark games?

Cristoforo: A digital revival of the original Call of Cthulhu game title Font and before that a Classic example of Victorian-Americana Typeface. I backed it because I really like the font style and am a fan of the classic Call of Cthulhu cover art and graphics, also being a graphic designer helped.

Yes, Caleb played a version of our scout that was obsessed with finding the mist elusive prey: Captain Crunch Cereal.

Wow, just wow... XD already this is sounding better than the... no, no I wont call it that, I refuse to acknowledge the other film as a sequel.

I hope it gets posted soon. is there only one more episode of the slender man game? I remember hearing Ross saying that you only made it through 6 sessions before the game fizzled.

The AP for NIMH will be the one I ran for the RPPR cast.  I would have had others, but unfortunately the Gencon recordings did not pan out. The first game was completely my fault as I forgot to turn the H2 on. The second was recorded, but was ended early due to the players needing to get to their next scheduled games. The third was due to the H2 losing power during the recording (which is a shame since that one was the longest).

Is that the one where Caleb was playing the fun-loving fool character and then shit got dark? If so I cant wait to hear that one.

I've been thinking up scenarios for Cthulhu Dark, particularly because it is such an easy rules light set. My friends enjoy it but they don't like having to do up a new character (despite it being really easy), they want to reuse there starting character. So I came up with a set of scenarios where a small town gets isolated and crazy video game themed stuff starts happening. as such when the characters die or go insane, they "re-spawn" where they were when the town went nuts. Because the re-spawning process isn't an easy "pop!" your back to life, the characters start off with 2 insanity and exhaustion points because of the ordeal. Did a play test with that house rule and it was an entertaining game.

Still working out some ideas for it and have a highly infectious zombie scenario (not using respawn rule) which could end up killing droves of characters before they realize DON'T TOUCH THE ZOMBIES in any way! or if they do they need to roll to see if they can resist the infection, and then they roll San because they start hearing the hive mind voice in their heads.

Corgi were pretty badass in that video.

Been trying to play through the original American Mcgee's Alice and it's a cool game but difficult to get through at times. the platforming is tricky in places. I'm getting frustrated but I dont want to start the sequel till i get through the first game.
