Clarifications inbound.
Apparently, it was a single glass of something John explained as being call Terrible, but pronounced in a bad French accent - stressed second syllable, neutral vowel in final syllable, etc. I go to these lengths because I'm unaware of the hooch in question, and the results for Googling 'terrible booze' are mind numbing in more ways than one. As for his age at the time, that was just assumption on my part, as I thought you'd been out pf town since before he was 21.
As for pederasty, apparently that was a different time.
In short *Gilbert Godfried voice* I'm sorry I said Patrick gave a younger man booze and taught him about pederasty, because that's not how it happened. Please don't tell anyone else that Patrick gave a younger man booze and taught him about pederasty, that's not true. Because I teach at two different colleges right now (one semester is ending but my summer teaching has already begun), I get approximately 75 emails a day to the three different accounts I have set up. So I've had to turn off all my notifications so that my phone only makes noise if someone is calling me.
Fortunately, the Devour has the most unobtrusive-but-noticeable vibe setting of any phone I've ever had. It's like a marimba bar being struck, only tactile.
Also, in before vibration jokes.

Yeah, been waiting on this for a while now. Been a big fan of the books for about a year and a half, ever since I heard the Bear Swarm guys yelling about them ad nauseum. Now that the tax refund has come in, gonna grab the pre-order and start digesting the FATE system, and all that sweet, sweet setting material. Dunno so much about running it - licensed stuff intimidates me - but who know?
