Yeah, we are using Skype for the shadowrun game and incorporating Goggle Docs and Swaggle.mobi for character backgrounds, and comm-link simulation. Game should start next Tues and be available on both Swing And A Miss and Hiddengrid. I can't wait. I'm thinking if we actually use Swaggle I'll have to supply a timeline of messages to download with the podcast. Not sure that'll be easy.

Honestly... Wave makes me feel old and stupid. I'm 25!!! I'd love to give all of you an invite, however, it's closed beta. Register at wave.google.com and tell 'em you are a mad scientist scheming to use the Wave platform to develop the ultimate form of mind control and it'll move you a couple of spots up on the invite list.

oh and the RPPR AP podcast will go up soon after the hulk comes out. With the U-boat scenario from Gencon as the premier episode.

Ross, we love you. In a totally creepy kind of internet crush kind of way.

In a "twitter wasn't good enough so I hide a webcam outside your house" kind of way.

 :-\

We're watching you. Ha ha, is he joking? Who knows?!
I know! Welcome to internet fame, Ross. I wrote some Fan Fiction about you... were can I post it?!?!??!?

Well WAVE still has a lot of kinks. I'm trying to get into a game there.

Zendead over at Hiddengrid invited the SaaM crew to play a Shadowrun game over skype, I'm definitely interested, but I honestly am not too familiar with skype, is there a d6 system app. that I'd be using to determine rolls? I assume I don't just trust the rolls they claim.

RPGs / Play by Wave?

I was just wondering how many of my friends over here at RPPR have access to Google Wave? If this applies to you have you tried any of the Play by Wave games?

What game would you like to lose your Wave-ginity to?

RPGs / Re: How do you become a better Role Player?
« on: November 01, 2009, 01:07:02 AM »
Since I'm not a witness to actual game play, my advice might not be relevant, however, I've found in my gaming that you really need to lower you inhibitions around players that make you uncomfortable. The best games I've been in are the ones where players don't care what the next one thinks. They will make a rash (potentially fatal) decision because of their characters personality, or the GM will talk in ridiculous voices that make you feel embarrassed for him. The thing is, though, if you are embarrassed for you GM's commitment to role playing then you might need to re-evaluate why you are playing. Don't try to read the other players "tells" and let it change the way you play.

I would suggest recording a game, and listening to it with an open mind. You may find that there are things you would have done differently, equally possible: you will find that there are things that the "judgmental" players are doing that you dislike.
If you try this and still feel that you are having trouble, talk openly with the group. Ask for opinions and then suggestions. It may be difficult to hear your concerns validated, but it will feel a thousand times better to hear that they appreciate having you in the game.

I'm wondering: ???

A.Has anyone played the Dragonlance Fifth Age RPG?

B.As it is a card based game, do you think it would be worth recording for our AP section at SaaM?

It's good to know the community is as receptive and helpful to new groups. Who would have thought people like us would be producing the second coming of radio drama for the new generation?
I've never heard it put quite like that. I love it. Welcome to the forums, CalabolgX

I'm thinking about writing the Age of Masks as an actual comic first. Try to get an artist to draw it and everything.
That's awesome. Have you done that with any of your work before? or is this a new endeavor?

It's a bit to late too ask, I can fix it if I need to, but I aired the "kick-ass" promo in Ep 3 but I edited it a tiny bit. Just wanted to make sure this wasn't an issue.

I was wondering if Ross had any plans to publish "The Age of Masks" campaign?

Yeah Listend to the one shot vampires first time hearing a game of vampires I enjoyed it. Sounds a bit complicated but of course I have never read the rules Enjoyed the post though.
It's actually incredibly easy... This was Misha and Nay's first time role-playing and they learned the system within 5 minutes. Of course pre-gen characters make it impossibly simple to learn most games.
