This was posted yesterday by the folks over at Free RPG Day on facebook.

Lorefinder (Gumshoe/Pathfinder crossover). Lorefinder puts you in the role of a brave adventurer in search of forbidden secrets and lost treasures. Uncover strange cults, solve baffling murders, or delve into the deepest dungeons and face their denizens. Lorefinder merges the action-oriented fantasy rules of Pathfinder with the streamlined investigative focus of Gumshoe.

I just got Dead Island and X-men: Destiny for Gamefly.

X-men plays like the Marvel Alliance games, seems limited on what you can do so far. Pick one of three unknown mutants, give your character one of three powers and go smite people.

Dead Island has been fun so far. Breaking paddles on zombie faces.

I wasn't there for it but they had like 5 at one table and only 2 were still standing when the shop had to close. But I can see your point about finding the right combo to live though it. I'd be interested to see a dark sun version of it, just to make it even that much harder. I remember driving my players crazy during the dark sun encounters event.

I'm a little late on this but oh well. For those of you who enjoy D&D encouters, Wizards has come out with a new event. Lair Assault is for 5th level characters (you get some magic items too), it's harder than encounters and takes more time. The event started last sunday (at least at my shop). It should be replayed though out the month. This month is Forge of the Dawn Titan.

I played it years ago and the rules weren't explained well. So I had the a shotgun and a sword and decided to throw down to against some monster. Then I was told that the weapons scores don't stack and I got murdered horribly. So make sure you know the rules before you start or it will be a very short game.

Just to throw it out there. For those of you who don't live near a comic shop/game shop. My shop can ship comics and whatever else to you (We have a few customers who moved out of the area that we ship to).

Tooting my own horn! Illusive Comics and Games in Santa Clara, Califorina. There are two other gaming shops in my area but i'm not a fan of either of them (bad staff and atmosphere). Game Castle in Santa Clara, CA and Legends Cupertino, CA.

RPGs / D&D Game Day
« on: August 05, 2011, 02:48:44 PM »
Just a reminder to everyone. Tomorrow is D&D game day, where they will be showing off the "new" setting of Never Winter. Also I believe thats the setting for this season of D&D Encounters. It's a free event so head down to our local gaming shop and get your game on.

I've been playing Dragon Age 2 and Duke Nukem Forver. Dragon Age 2 is a good game so far. I've been enjoying that game very much. Duke Nukem is another matter. It's not a bad game, I would call it a okay game. It's basicly Duke Nukem 3D 2. The control style and feel is the same as the old game. There is some funny moments and of course his one liners but I'm glad I got it from gamefly and didn't buy it.

I think we've ran out of ideas for this.

GM doesn't know what he's doing - finish bottle to help you though the pain

Player asks Cody like questions (Whats this NPC name?, Can I fuck it?, etc) - finish bottle to help you though the pain and/or think of ideas
