I may have one you can borrow. I have an H2 on hand which I doubt I will be using during your session (seeing as I am not running any official games)

I'm not in your game, but then I would get to experience it vicariously through a piece of my technology.

I am making six pregens for it.  There were only 4 tickets for it.  There will still be 2 openings for those with open tickets.

You have started down a wondrous path.  A path that leads to oneness with the Gods.  The neuromancers will speak of you, the ageless ones, who have taken the step to divinity by purchasing the very bag that comes from the gossamer wings of angels.

As some of you may know, I will be running two CoC games at Gencon this year.  However, as this was my first time registering events, and the fact that I have the attention span of a goldfish on LSD, I accidentally registered the two games at the same time.  Well, I could have cancelled one of them and resubmitted it, but a late afternoon trip to take Ross to get chinese drive-thru yielded a great moment of inspiration.

Our dear friend Aaron is currently unsure if he can raise the necissary capital to go to Gencon this year.  It is distressing him greatly.  So, in the interests of helping a friend, and getting better ratings for RPPR, the following idea crystallized...we will run a ransom to raise money so our worthy constituent may go to Gencon.  In return, from now until the day of Gencon arrives, we will take Aaron and teach this violence-hating introvert how to run horror (particularly in CoC) and HE will be the one to run my Divine Fire scenario at Gencon.

For the months leading up to the big event, there will be an ongoing 1980's training montage as we teach Aaron that it's not only a good thing to rend players apart with the claws of eldritch mutated Nazis, but we will take you along every step of the way.  To first learning the system, then to the basics of running good horror games (with the help of Ross, the Fear Master himself), to finally running published scenarios for the RPPR group.  And every step will be recorded, both for our own amusement, and to silence anyone that says our training methods don't work (bastards).

Obviously, this will not commence until after the Codex of War is completed.  Still, I want to put it out there and see what our gaming ninjas on the RPPR forums think about this.  Make your voice heard.  Do your duty.  There is no I in team.  Only you can make a difference.  Kick the tires and light the fires.  That's no moon, it's a space station.  Kneel before Zod.  Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker.

No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die.

The new site is more than that.  It is a road map to freedom!

He who believes in us will be saved!

Or something...

Well, thank you for that.  I feel enlightened.

Now, if you will excuse me, I am going to try to burn those images out of my brain with fire.

The situation is sad to say the least.  Ross' apartment is damp and smells like an ass-scented swamp, and my place has three cats.  His lungs would seize up and he would die.  Then that would leave me to find some Louisiana voodoo priestess to resurrect him in a form of living death so the show could continue.

Oh, the slings and arrows of life...

That is a huge slab of medium rare badassery drizzeled with awesome sauce!

Well done, sir!

RPGs / Re: How many dice do you have?

Bone dice are perfectly okay.

It only gets creepy when those dice are kept in a leather bag made out of that person's skin, their eyeballs turned into a festive replacement for the fuzzy dice hanging from the rearview mirror, their toenails ground up into a fine powder that you sprinkle into your Lipton Tea, their hair shaved off and sewn into a decorative ascott, and their flesh and blood removed to be turned into parchment and ink so you can record your grandmother's delicious chicken caserolle recipe.

Then, and only then, does anything begin to approach creepy.

I must patrol the forums on a regular basis.

It keeps the goblins asleep.

I post when the planets align and the stars are right.

I'm up for it.  A road trip to KC is a lot shorter than a drive to Indianapolis.

RPGs / Re: How much do you game per week?
« on: July 21, 2009, 08:24:58 PM »
I technically have three games a week now.  My Friday night with Ross and Friends, my theoretical group on Saturday that happens maybe once every month, and another game on Sunday with more Ross and Friends.  "Busy as a dyke in a hardware store".  George Carlin.

General Chaos / Re: How was your 4th of July?
« on: July 14, 2009, 06:03:34 PM »
The actuall 4th was the day I finally sat down and watched the DVD of Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath.  Then I ate homemade ice cream and grilled cheesburgers.  Then I set off about 20 bucks worth of fireworks before the rain hit.  Then I went over to Ross' place and played Do You Worship Cthulhu? with Ross, Patrick, Kiree, and...others.  I forget.  And I was tired.

I recommend it.
