I am down to 35 events on my wish list, but I haven't scoured the event catalog yet.  Needless to say there are some conflicts.  Would the RPPR meetup be after the DG & The Unspeakable Oath seminar on Thursday night ( 8 - 10 )?

So was Abed rolling a 12-sided for most of the game, except the shot at the end?  It sure looked like it to me.

Really funny episode.

Technically, it was Ross and the "Government" that blew the building up.  And I am still not sure you didn't escape and leave us to die ( well, my character isn't sure at least ).  You could have told us you had died.  I looked all over the place for you before we escaped.  I think blame for your death rests in the guy that strangled you with the ethernet cable.  If you died at all, I mean.

I believe wil wheaton stayed there last year ( he was hanging out in the lobby at least) ... and the marriott has a really good $20 breakfast buffet.  ( I think it was $20, may have been slightly less ) ... and Real Dungeon stuff is there  ...  and there are views of other buildings ... and ... um ... and you are closer to the convention center.

I got the hyatt also.  The issues I saw at the hotel registration do not bode well for game registration this year.  I was at the Marriott last year and it is nice, but I found out all the cool people stay at the hyatt.  Looking forward to killing some fellow PCs this time and avenging Tad's harsh death.  ( Really, we thought you just got lost )

The date has kind of slipped up on me, but preregistration is this weekend.  That is not that important, but the host hotel reservations go online Tuesday the 25th at noon ( eastern ).  I believe you have to be registered to book the rooms through the gencon system.

Here are some of the dates.  You have to wait until May 1st to register for the RPPR games.

I can't do next Monday, but may be able to do that Tuesday ( I am starting a new weeknight game and not sure if it is every Tuesday or not ).  I can do Monday the 17th.  I would prefer to get into a CoC game.  Ross doesn't like killing people in Monsters for some reason.

The Plaza Theater in Atlanta is going to be showing the Room at 9:30 Tuesday Jan 25th.  I have not seen it yet, but based on the talk here it is a must see.  Anyone else in the area interested?

Heat is one of my favorite movies and has been since it came out.

It's like it was made from a RPG in so many places. That entire gunfight chase feels like the kind of shit PCs would do.
"There's a whole wall of police. Do you surrender?"
"Hell no! I get a cover bonus from the cars, I make called shots to avoid armor..."

"The guys has a young boy as a hostage."
"I shot."
"What?"
"Oh, your right. Called shot to head! Now I shot."
Where is my like button?

I can see another thread spawning out of this "Best RPG scenes".  I think the one I would like to run would be the Selma Hayek scene in from Dusk to Dawn.  I am pretty sure all my players would just stab her when they hear " a hot stripper chick just hopped on your table".  Bunch of PCs!  First time I saw the movie, I didn't actually know what it was about. So the "twist" was a total shock.  It is just a matter of getting them comfortable in the situation so they do not expect a trap I guess.  I probably need to do more scenes where nothing actually happens, so they won't be so paranoid.

How about the The Wild Bunch?  I don't know if it was the best, I will have to do some pondering on that, but it is probably the most important.  It introduced gratuitous blood and violence to the public.  Blaze of Glory baby!!!

I think the most scared I have been in a game is more general.  All it takes is a trap happy DM running AD&D and being on point in a dungeon crawl.  Every 10' was a rush of adrenaline as your character did not explode/implode/disintegrate/sex change/teleport/alignment change/...

sadly the first part of operation endgame was corrupted - someone tripped the powercord of the zoom h2.

I bet it was Aaron.  I saw him messing around with his sword cane near the cable.
