I think Operation Endgame would be a good one to put up.  Don't you Tad???  Just gotta watch out for those ethernet cables.

Don't mean to be a pest Ross but I could really use those APs.

"Hey guys, where's our team mate?"
"I don't know."
"Oh well, I'm sure he's fine."

Assholes!

I always thought your anger was a "tad" misdirected.  You should focus on the guy that killed you with the internets, rather than your teammates, who had so much confidence in your abilities they just thought you found a way to escape and then you just took off without them and are living under an assumed name somewhere.  Actually, I am beginning to think that may be what actually happened and you planted that rumor about your demise.

. Cthulhu's ... a passive, benign figure that imparts boons to the players via random mutations or mind-bending dreams.

I love this.  The PCs could just have to follow his few rules and don't piss him or his minions off.  Or they can even play cultist to the "semi-benevolent" tentacular ruling class.

Maybe change around the "big Mistake" backstory and have it be Cthulhu awakening?  Might work well with the recent South Park episodes.

Probably get too serious too fast for the inherent light-heartedness of the game.  I guess it could be made more serious.  Have everyone be at least half genetically modified human maybe.  No more mixed origins.  That would have gotten rid of half the laughter in our game.

It is hard to get true laughter in a CoC game.  Usually it is just nervous tension or finding humor in the disaster that has befallen you.

We played our first session of Gamma World this weekend and it was a blast.  Character creation was one of the highlights.  It looks like this will be in the rotation for short term campaigns.  It gets real crazy and the players loved it.  I should have killed a character in the first fight, but I felt bad and he came back to consciousness  at the end of the encounter.  I have seen a lot of comments on how to handle death and healing as the default rule set is particularly deadly.  Luckily you can roll up a new character pretty quick and it should be pretty easy to insert them into the party.  How can you not trust a 8 foot tall being made up of a swarm of cockroaches?  Looks trustworthy to me.
I put up the AP to the game on the community site if you want to give it a listen.

Now I uploaded the latest Storm Of War.  The last episode in the Halls of the Mountain King.  Can you move it over when you get a chance?  Thanks!

I am not sure how much I like the extensive player "input" on the city creation.  When I am a player, part of the fun of the game is the discovery of the unknown.  If you already know the secret relationships between the groups and the internal structure, you lose the fun of the investigation and the surprise when a trusted NPC turns on your party.  I don't know if this is because of all the background available from the books or not.  But if you are basing it in a different city and with different groups/history, it seems there could be a lot of difference from the Dresden canon.

I wonder if this was heightened because it was a con game? Get players to jump into the city quicker, because they helped create it?

No, the con game was ready to go.  The city creation is part of the campaign style.  It's not that it is a bad idea, just that creating the element of surprise could be harder for the players.  It seems like the game can be played with a lot of intrigue.  So I think that some of the player input should be limited.  Maybe they could do a section or a faction that was important to their characters.  But leave a lot of the plotlines to the GM.
Also, I think that the player-plotline interaction comes later in play once they get to know their characters and the world.  Often a character's goals don't survive first contact with the enemy.

Planning:  Dresden Files based in Atlanta.  I have created several city setting ideas and threads, but it will be awhile until I have time to run it.

How do you find the Dresden Files system?  I've been meaning to look into it.

It seems good.  I played in two games at DragonCon with a really good GM that were a lot of fun.  I like the fate system a lot also.  Character creation is pretty cool also.

I forgot Dread and a Jenga tower.  The best gaming investment you can make.  A lot of fun for the price, especially if you already have the Jenga.
The black onyx tower adds a little something extra, but I would prefer blood red lettering instead of silver.

Running:  4e DnD Storm of War.  About to move to paragon tier.

Playing:  4e Dnd Scales of War.  Just finished with a TPK.  Moving on to Dark Sun next.

Working on:  4e Gamma World.  A one or two shot adventure for the Scales group while Dark Sun is getting prepared.  Basing it in Atlanta and doing too much work on it for a one shot.

Working on:  CoC Masks of Nyarlathotep.  The new edition is in the mail.  About to start looking for some players to run it for.

Planning:  Delta Green Phenomen X mini campaign starting with Convergence.  Tried to start it earlier this year, but it never took off.

Planning:  Dresden Files based in Atlanta.  I have created several city setting ideas and threads, but it will be awhile until I have time to run it.

Masks of Nyarlahotep just got rereleased.  And since money is not an object, get the limited edition hardcover.

I've decided that I'm going to try to listen to all 14(?) episodes of the Storm of War podcast during the course of this week. Wish me luck.

Good Luck!  I have two more uploaded that are waiting on me to create posts and on from the weekend ( 7 hours ) still on the Zoom.  We have a tendency to stray off topic a little.  In the 7 hour one this weekend, we had only 2 combat encounters, but we had a couple of trap/investigative encounters.
