General Chaos / Re: Boycott Thor?

Stringer Bell owns all of Asgard's corners.

But, anyways, let's consider this: Thor isn't real. He never was, even when he was "real" to the Norse.

Do you mean because the people who worshiped Thor didn't have a written language (unlike say the Egyptians) we don't really know all that much about the actual religion?

One thing about WT also is that, where D&D is Bow + Arrow = Dead Orc, WT is Bubblegum + Bottle cap = End of the World.

I thought this was one of the best.

Have you looked at the other WT theme books? I haven't looked at them much (and not in a while), but what you describe does spark a bit of a memory.

When he went to the house the first time, but later it turned up missing.

I think that's the right way to go about it. With WT you can have very large power differences even on the same point spend, so I think its important to have the GM either create the powers based on player imput or go through the sheets and "normalize" everyone. Even then its a good idea to do as you mentioned and have a tight structure.

Also you might want to talk with Neil and the GM running the WT forum game over on Nerdbound. It could help to smooth over some of the rough spots that are bound to come up in a WT game.

I love WT so sounds good to me. :)

we've only seen a few of the Asgardians in the trailer.

Maybe we saw different trailers, but it look to me like there were a lot, although many were in armor. I suppose we will have to wait for the movie to come out before we can tell who is right. To me, if they did cast 20 white guys and 1 black person, I find that noticeable. There are a lot of good black actors out there. If acting talent was the only thing the producers were looking I would except the ratio to be more mixed. Do you disagree?

Maybe just because its been hyped up alot and I've never actually seen the movie so dont know/care whats going on, but that was almost as boring as the car chase in Mitchell.

You might want to watch it a few times. The reason its so good, is because everything clicks. Its a work of art. Its all in the details. The music is prefect. The sounds of the cars (mustang and charger). The pacing. The camera work.

The shot of the mustang in the charger's rear view mirror is great. The hit man buckling his seat belt.

Yeah its low key. Its good because it seems real. A lot of other chase scenes on this list are just special effect fantasies and that's fine, but Bullet is the fundamentals of a good chase scene.

Clockworkjoe, this isn't a Norse tale. Its Marvel. However putting that aside, I agree that Norse Gods don't need to be white bread, Hitler youth poster boys. But he's the only black guy I saw among the Asgardians. He stands out like a sore thumb. It shouts, I am only here because I am black.

I'm sure there have been lots of white people who have played Othello, but if the only reason you cast the white guy is because you want to have a token white face in the play then I don't like it.

Its looks silly to have him in there, ie Robinhood. If you are just adding someone because you want some ethnic diversity at least have the character fit the story you are telling. However I agree that those opinions about attacking white culture and such are dumb.

Tim isn't trying to help. Totheark is embracing what's going on. He's gone crazy. I'd be a little surprised if someone was exposed to this stuff and didn't end up nuts.

There is only one car chase that is the best.

When you reach the alternate dimension you are told you can find the vegemite in the land down under, but only when the men are at work.
