I must of heard about this being developed 3/4 years ago, possibly earlier, anyone know when this sort of stuff will hit the market?

It certainly has some interesting implications for computers you can carry around with you, just wrap your monitor around everything else and go.

My only worry is how easy it is to get flat/keep kinks and bends out of it when you want them gone.

With a combination of old and new genetic techniques they could narrow down this search. I bet if you traced the family trees they'll be about as inbred as an amazonian tribe. Using modern techniques you can relatively cheaply map a persons entire genome, look for similiarities amongst the families comparing with an outsiders.

With smaller numbers, 3/4/5, what I do for CoC one-shots is just condense the information on the character gen double page into just the basic rolls and have them do that bit (takes about 20 mins). I then present them with about 3 occupations and have them do that bit...depending on how familiar they are this can take between another 20mins to 40.

In my experience it does connect the players with their characters much more. So if you can spare the extra hour do so, here's what I present them with to save you the time of writing it out yourself. With 8 players however you should probably do it yourself but it doesn't hurt to give those players who think they can tackle it the option.

Roll 3d6 once each for STR, CON POW, DEX and APP.
Roll 2d6+6 once each for SIZ and INT
Roll 3d6+3 for EDU.

INT x 5= idea%
POW x 5= luck%  (keep a note of this number as it is also your starting Sanity).
EDU x 5= know%

(Con + Siz)/2 = HP(round up)
STR+SIZ then tell me the number.
Magic points = POW Score.

Edu x20 for profession skills
Int x10 for personal skills.

I find the cookie-cutter shark far more creepy. I takes upto 3 inch deep perfectly circular bites out of creatures, it's lower set of teeth all being connected like a saw blade that vibrates and turns to chew through it's prey.



Those two bite marks were made by the fairly small and harmless looking shark.

Did you ever tell them that false accusations are treason? If you want to go a step further tell them that executions without evidence submitted to computer are treason.

That's what I did when I ran the game and it worked out well. I also didn't have much of a central plot but just many different scenarios that can be sewn together into a fun game.

If you were intent on running a long-running Paranoia game you should of given them multiple tastes first.

Granted, it's widely thought of as the worst comic ever made, even amongst the indy/deviant art lot. Perhaps your shouldn't of used stick figures?

I wish I had the ability to condense time, get all my work done without the wasted time of distractions. If that could be turned into simply navigating youtube with my brain i'd be happy.

Perhaps I was wrong in cluing the players into the Ben Baugh quote "You can break my game, but what's the fun in that?" by missing the fact that there's at least one Power Gamer in my group.

Well it's fairly easy to break the game as a new player by complete accident, as a DM what I would do is have the players give you their concept and then you work it into a monster. It's just the safest way to keep balance.

This Friday will be wrapping up my Dark Sun sessions and I'm probably the most proud of these of any games I have ever run. Much as I love the New World Gaiden, the Dark Sun campaign has really allowed for my imagination to run wild.
